Start ist in Porto de la Cruz. Entlang dem nördlichen Straßentunnel geht es vorbei an Bananenplantagen, alten Trassenplantagen geht es unter der Autobahn durch auf kleine Landstraßen. Durch typische kleine kanarische Ortschaften gelangt man als Mountainbiker angenehm auf ca. 1000 m Höhe. Im grünen Gürtel (Corona Forestale) geht es auf schönen und gut fahrbaren Pisten bis auf ca. 1700 m. Der Aufstieg bis zum Observatorium geht dann auf der einzigen Straße, der TF-24 weiter. Man hat einen super Ausblick sowohl rechts in Richtung Teide, als auch links auf die Ostküste von Teneriffa. Vorbei am Observatorium geht es über Lavafelder Richtung Süden. Nach dem Wiederanstieg auf 2300 Meter Höhe hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf die Mondlandschaft am Teide. Wieder zurück in die Nähe des Observatoriums erfolgt die Abfahrt nach Porto de la Cruz: 2.300 Höhenmeter Abfahrt am Stück. Wie beim Anstieg über drei "Klimazonen": Lavawüste, Pinienwald und Küstenregion. Die Route sollte unbedingt wie von mir gefahren im Uhrzeigersinn erfolgen. Die teilweise steilen Abfahrten sind im Anstieg kaum zu bewältigen. Die Tour hat ca. 3.500 Höhenmeter und eine Länge von 113 km. Gute Kondition ist auf jeden Fall erforderlich. Die Tour kann bei Konditions- oder Wetterproblemen bis zum Observatorim problemlos abgebrochen werden, auch kann die Schleife am Observatorium mit ca. 400 Höhenmetern ausgelassen werden. In Revelo auf ca 1000 Meter Höhe sollte auf jeden Fall Wasser und Proviant nachgekauft werden. Ab dort gibt es bis zum Ende der Tour keine Einkehrmöglichkeit mehr. Auch bei warmen Wetter sollte eine dünne Regenjacke als Windschutz auf der Abfahrt mitgenommen werden. In dem grünen Gürtel hängen oft Wolken, die auch bei heißen Temperaturen am Meer und am Teide ohne Windschutz nicht zu empfehlen sind.

Home is in Porto de la Cruz. Along the northern road tunnel, we pass banana plantations, ancient route plantations it goes under the motorway on small country roads. By typical Canarian small towns can be reached as mountain bikers pleasant to about 1000 m altitude. In the green belt (Corona Forestale) it goes on nice and good mobile slopes up to 1700 m. The climb up to the observatory is then on the only road, the TF-24 on. It has a great view of both right towards Teide, and left on the east coast of Tenerife. Passing the observatory it goes over lava fields south. After rebound at 2300 meters altitude you have a magnificent view of the lunar landscape on Teide. Back in the vicinity of the observatory, the departure is to Porto de la Cruz: 2,300 vertical meters downhill straight. As with the increase over three "climate zones": lava desert, pine forest and coastal region. The route should necessarily take place as driven by me clockwise. The sometimes steep slopes to be addressed in increase hardly. The tour has about 3,500 meters and a length of 113 km. Good physical condition is required in any case. The tour can easily be stopped at Konditions- or weather problems to Observatorim, and the loop can be omitted at the observatory with about 400 meters of altitude.
