Gestartet wird in Esslingen beim S-Bahnhof. Der Esslinger Höhenweg ist ab und zu gut ausgeschildet. Es geht durch die Stadt und dann in den Weinbergen nach oben bis zur Gaststätte Katharinenlinde. Dort ist ein Aussichtsturm mit einer super Rundumsicht: www.hoehengaststaette-katharinenlinde.de Dann bleibt man mehr oder weniger auf der Höhe. Nur zwischendurch geht es einmal über Treppen abwärts in ein kleines Tal. In der Regel gibt es wunderbare Aussichten Richtung Süden über das Neckartal hinweg. Bei schönem Wetter ist auch der Albtrauf gut zu sehen. Die Wege sind in der Regel breite Wirtschaftswege, z. T. geteert: Ein MTB ist nicht unbedingt nötig. Bevor es mit dem Esslinger Höhenweg wieder ab in das Neckartal geht, wird der Esslinger Höhenweg verlassen. Es geht durch den Aich-/ Schurwald, zwischendurch auch mal kurz auf Straßen (, die allerdings auch einfach umfahrbar sind). Über Schnait geht des dann dauernd abwärts bis nach Beutelsbach. Bei einem gemütlichen Glas Wein wäre dann die Tour abzuschließen. In Beutelsbach steht die S-Bahn wieder zur Abfahrt bereit.

Starts in Esslingen on the S-Bahn station. The Esslinger Trail is ausgeschildet now and well. It goes through the city and then in the vineyards up to the restaurant Catherine Linde. There is an observation tower with a super panoramic view: www.hoehengaststaette-katharinenlinde.de & nbsp; Then it remains more or less at the height. Only in between it goes once through stairs down into a small valley. In general, there are wonderful views across the south of the Neckar valley. In fine weather, the escarpment is good to see. The trails are generally wide service roads, partly paved. A MTB is not absolutely necessary. Before the Esslinger Trail again goes in the Neckar valley, the Esslinger Trail is exited. It goes through the Aich- / virgin forest, between times short on roads (which are also easy umfahrbar however). Proceeds of Schnait then continuously downhill to bag Bach. A leisurely glass of wine, the tour would be complete. In the bag Bach S-Bahn is again ready to leave.
