Konditionell anspruchsvolle Ganztages-Rundtour über die Bergketten rings um den Neustadter Hausberg Muppberg mit dem Prinzregenten-Turm 516hm. Gespickt mit zahllosen Up- und Downhills, 2 sehr steilen Rampen (welche nur von Top-Sportlern und an einem guten Tag mit besten Bedingungen bewältigt werden dürften) und einigen anspruchsvollen Waldabfahrt-Trails zählt die Muppi-Kessel-Runde (MKR) wohl zu den größten Herausforderungen im Coburger/Sonneberger-Land. Der Untergrund wechselt ständig zwischen Schotter, Wald- und Wiesenpfaden, sowie Asphalt, der Trailanteil liegt bei ca. 10%. Die Highlights sind natürlich die zahlreichen Fernblicke auf den Muppberg, welcher sich je nach Himmelsrichtung völlig unterschiedlich präsentiert. Neben dem Mönchsberg (557hm) stehen u.a. Neufang (636hm), die Kaiser-Wilhelm-Höhe (659hm) und der Plestener Spitzberg (443hm) auf der Agenda. Man bewegt sich abschnittsweise auf dem Europäischen Fernwanderweg E3 Atlantik-Böhmerwald, dem Iron-Curtain-Trail direkt an der ehemaligen Zonengrenze, dem Lutherweg, dem Clemens-Major-Weg, auf Panzerplatten der damaligen NVA-Grenztruppen und im Sperrgebiet der ehemaligen DDR. Für "Einkehrsüchtige" sind mehrfach Möglichkeiten direkt an der Strecke vorhanden. So bieten sich z.B. die Klosterschänke in Mönchröden, die Blockhütte bei Neufang, der Weiße-Schwan in Forschengereuth oder der Lindenhof in Ketschenbach an, die notwendigen Kraftreserven wieder aufzufüllen... Idealerweise folgt man der MKR entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn!

Physically demanding full-day round trip over the mountain ranges around the Neustadter Mountain Muppberg with the Prince Regent Tower 516hm. Packed with countless up and downhills, two very steep ramps (which should only be handled by top athletes and on a good day with the best conditions) and some challenging forest downhill trails include the Muppi boiler Round (MKR) probably one of the greatest challenges in the Coburg / Sonneberger country. The ground constantly alternates between gravel, forest and meadow paths and asphalt, the Trail share is about 10%. The highlights are of course the many distant views to the Muppberg, which presents itself very differently depending on the direction. In addition to the monk mountain (557hm) are, inter alia, Neufang (636hm), the Kaiser-Wilhelm-height (659hm) and the Plestener Spitzberg (443hm) on the agenda. One moves in sections on the European long-distance path E3 Atlantic Bohemian Forest, the Iron Curtain trail directly to the former zone boundary, the Luther, the Clemens major way on armor plates of the former NVA border troops and in the restricted area of ??the former GDR.
