Route 19 aus dem offiziellen Tourismus-Führer "52 MTB-Routen durch die Provinz Cádiz". Eine der schönsten und beeindruckendsten Routen in der Provinz Cádiz. Die Strecke verläuft durch den Parque Natural de los Alcornocales. Hierbei fahren Sie durch wunderschöne Korkeichenwälder, an den Flanken der Sierra del Aljibe entlang, genießen weite Ausblicke auf den ganzen Südteil der Provinz bis zum Meer und zum Stausee von Barbate. Der Zustand der Schotterstrassen ist durchgängig sehr gut, die Steigungen bleiben immer unter 5%. Achtung: Es könnte sein, daß man zum Befahren des Parks mit einem Fahrrad auf dieser Route eine Erlaubnis benötigt! Ein Parkranger hatte mich angehalten und nach einer Berechtigung gefragt. Da ich kein Spanisch verstehe und er weder Englisch noch Deutsch sprechen konnte, hat es mit der Verständigung nicht so gut funktioniert. Ich konnte jedenfalls am Gatter unten an der Hauptstraße keinen Hinweis darauf finden. Am oberen Ende der Schotterpiste, wo sie auf die Asphaltstraße zum Pico del Montero trifft, habe ich das Foto oben geschossen. Auf diesem ist ausdrücklich ein Radweg ausgeschildert. Also entweder vorher eine Berechtigung beschaffen (auf der offiziellen Homepage der Naturparkverwaltung habe ich keinen Hinweis gefunden), oder hoffen, daß man einen netten oder keinen Parkranger trifft. Ich durfte nach einigem hin und her die Fahrt fortsetzen.
