Fahrtechnisch einfache, konditionell mittlere, panoramatechnisch großartige Mountainbiketour mit diversen Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Start ist an der DAV-Hütte in Au, zunächst rollen wir gemütlich durch den Ort und nehmen den Radweg entlang der Bregenzer Ach. Stets auf Asphalt geht es durch Schnepfau und auf's Schnepfegg - wer bereits hier ermattet ist, kann sich im Berghaus Kanisfluh stärken. Eine schöne Abfahrt führt Richtung Bizau, wir biegen allerdings am Hirschberg-Lift scharf rechts ab hinauf nach Schönenbach. Die nächsten 450Hm sind reiner Genuss - zunächst im Talgrund, dann über Wiesen und einen winzigen "Pass" fahrend erreichen wir das Vorsäß Schönenbach. Die winzige Siedlung mit den alten, wunderschönen Häusern bietet sommers wie winters Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Nach diesem Highlight ändert sich auch der Untergrund: auf Schotterwegen geht es zunächst noch ein wenig bergan, dann parallel zur Subersach runter bis zur Brücke am Wasserfall - auch hier lohnt ein kurzer Stopp. Immer leicht ansteigend verläuft die Strecke nun in nordwestlicher Richtung und gibt wunderbare Panoramablicke auf Sibratsgfäll und Hittisau frei. Wieder auf Asphalt erreichen wir Schetteregg und damit die nächste "Verpflegungsstation". Es geht nun in Wellen bergab in Richtung Egg, wir bleiben dort weitgehend auf der Höhe und wenden uns gleich Richtung Andelsbuch. Auch hier gibt es diverse Stärkungsmöglichkeiten! Vorbei am Käsehaus zum Stausee, dort wieder auf Schotter steil bergauf (ca. 180Hm) über die Bezegg-Gedenksäule nach Reuthe. Ein weiterer Mini-Buckel führt uns nach Mellau, ab da rollt es fast von selbst zurück nach Au, wobei wir diesmal auf der anderen Bachseite zum Argenzipfel zurückradeln. Der Schlußanstieg zur DAV-Hütte liefert einen letzten Grund für das ausgiebige Vesper, das wir uns redlich verdient haben!

Driving Technically simple, conditional mean, technically superb panorama mountain bike tour with & nbsp; various rest stops.
