Alljährlich im Juli findet der Albstadt LBS Bike Marathon statt, der zu den interessantesten und schönsten in ganz Deutschland gehört. Der Marathon wird vom Ski-Club Onstmettingen e.V. ausgerichtet. Es wird auf Forstwegen, Straßen, und Waldwegen gefahren. Beliebt ist dieser Wettbewerb nicht nur wegen der gelungenen Streckenführung und der perfekten Organisation, sondern auch wegen der Volksfeststimmung mit tausenden von Zuschauern auf der gesamten Strecke. Der Rundkurs geht einmal um die Stadt und berührt alle neun Teilgemeinden. Wer ein Finisher-Shirt ergattern möchte, muss die Strecke unter 6 Stunden bewältigen.
