MTB-OPENING auf die Narzissenwiese oder wie sie korrekt bezeichnet wird < Illitschalm > gehört schon seit vielen Jahren zu meinen allerersten Fixtouren zu Beginn der Mountainbike Saison Anfang Mai. Wohl wegen der zu dieser Jahreszeit einsetzenden Narzissenblüte, welche die offene Almfläche auf 1000 m Seehöhe in ein prächtiges Weiß verzaubert und den imposanten Aufstieg in mitten schroffer Felslandschaft und wildester Natur. Gestartet wird vorzugsweise vom Parkplatz neben der Wallfahrtskirche in Maria Elend im Rosental in 509 m Seehöhe aus. Nicht unangenehm stellen sich die ersten Asphaltmeter Richtung Süden entgegen bis im Wald bei einem Bildstock ostwärts weiter um danach in einer herrlichen offenen Wiesenlandschaft über Greuth bis Nähe Bahnhof geglitten wird, hier rechts südwärts abgebogen zu einem kleinen naturbelassenen Parkplatz. Bereits ein wenig eingefahren wechsle ich hier meinen Helm gegen das altbewährte Piratentuch und genehmige mir den ersten kräftigen Schluck aus der Tourenflasche, weil ab nun, am Beginn des großen Suchagraben, meine Pneus endlich Wald- bzw. Schotterboden verspüren und sich der unregelmäßige Untergrund sehr bald teils kräftig anstellt. Immer enger wird es zwischen den ostseitigen großen Muschenig (1021m) und den westlichen Kapellenberg (1226m) so dass zwischen Felsen und Geröll nur noch Platz für den großen Dürrenbach und einer kleinen Forststraße verbleibt, eine herrlich wildschöne Landschaft! Bei der Abzweigung auf 785 m rechtshaltend und giftig aufwärts dem Weg 674 folgend. Leider gestattet der teils starke Baumbewuchs nur kurze Tiefblicke nordwärts ins schöne Rosental, dafür lässt die bösartige Steigung ein wenig nach. Etwa 400 Meter nach einer zur Rechten liegenden Holzhütte eröffnet sich nun endlich links eine weite große Almwiese, die Illitschalm und wenn diese zumeist Anfang / Mitte Mai mit blühenden Narzissen weiß bedeckt entgegenblickt, wird man für die zurückgelegte Schufterei wohl mehr als belohnt! Der Rückweg erfolgt natürlich behelmt und mit Abfahrtssetup vor- und umsichtig am selben Weg. Viel Vergnügen beim Nachfahren dieser schönen und imposanten kleinen Tour wünscht Euch der ALPENCROSSER PS : Zu Maibeginn 2013 hat die Narzissenblüte wegen des strengen Winter noch nicht eingesetzt – muss also heuer etwas später nochmals hinaufkrachen!
