Ovaj kratki putopis zapocinje sa jednim dobrim Samaricaninom. Ivan Mišak je ponudio jednoj djevojci koja radi u Italiji da ce joj skratit muke oko presjedanja sa vlakova na vlakove, cekanja po kolodvorima u sitne nocne sate te ce ju iz Miholjca odvest u Trst na vlak odakle do Ferrare ima direktni vlak. I tako – pita on mene – hocu li s njima pa da se u povratku iz Trsta popnemo na Ucku. Naravno da nisam dvoumio.Kako je to put od skoro 1000 km (tamo i nazad), morali smo se pomno pripremit. To je zvucalo otprilike ovako nekako: "jel bicikl tu? Da. Imamo bidone, kacigu i spd cipele? Da. Onda je to to, možemo ici".Polazak iz D. Miholjca nešto prije 20h. Nocna vožnja starom cestom ZG-RI. Prometa – nula. Nitko nas nije niti mimoišao niti obišao. U Trstu smo bili oko 4h ujutro. Obavili sve i vec u 6h smo u Icicima gdje smo si zacrtali pocetnu tocku. Doruckujemo sendvice, ostatak spremamo u ruksake i u 6:30 krecemo prema vrhu Ucke.Uspon asfaltni. Cijelim putem. Usponi i po 18%, ali ništa strašno. Temperatura zraka: ugodnih 20ºC. Sve ide bez problema. Stajemo samo tu i tamo uslikat koju fotku. Na tocki Poklon nalazimo slavinu sa pitkom vodom. Dosipavamo jedva taknute bidone. Na povratku se Mišak i ja zbog umora izmjenjujemo za volanom. Kad smo stigli u Miholjac, strusili smo još jednu litru piva da zapecatimo ovaj 24-satni put. Da sve ukupno je trajalo 24 sata. Naporno.
