Die Unberührtheit und Biketauglichkeit des Esperanza-Waldes über dem Acentejo ist in der Gegend schon sprichwörtlich. Viele Biker kommen aus der dicht besiedelten Region um Santa Ursula hier hinauf, um auf den etwa höhengleichen Pisten, die sich durch unzählige Barrancos winden, Biken zu gehen. Der Haken: von z.B. Santa Ursula zum Waldrand nimmt man in der Regel das Auto, da es unmöglich scheint, auf weniger als 25% steilen Straßen hinauf zu kommen. Das macht keinem Biker Spaß, wenn es um 400 Höhenmeter und mehr geht. Ziel dieser Tour ist es zunächst, von Santa Ursula auf einer biketauglichen Strecke hinauf zu kommen. Und das ist uns nach zahlreichen Versuchen geglückt: die hier gezeigte Strecke durch die oberen Ortsteile hat nur ganz wenige Abschnitte, die so steil sind, dass man sie schieben muss (und jeder, der den Acentejo kennt, wird bei dieser Information aufhorchen). Über Pino Alto wird der Waldrand erreicht, an dem entlang dann auf wunderschönen Pisten zunächst aufwärts, dann wieder abwärts gebikt wird. Super-Ausblicke in die zahlreichen Schluchten sind dabei inklusive. Für die Abfahrt haben wir einen schönen markierten Wanderweg gefunden, der als Trail größtenteils sehr flowig fahrbar ist und viel Spaß macht. Er mündet am Waldrand allerdings in die sacksteilen Weinbergwege ein, die bergab die Bremsen zum glühen bringen, aber auch schöne Aussichten haben. Quer durch einen Barranco geht es zurück nach Santa Ursula.

The untouched and Bike suitability of the Esperanza Forest to the Acentejo is so notorious in the area. Many bikers come from the densely populated region around Santa Ursula up here to go to the same height as slopes, winding through innumerable ravines biking. The catch: by example Santa Ursula to the forest edge you usually takes the car, because it seems impossible up to less than 25% steep roads to come. That makes no biker fun when it comes to 400 meters and more. The aim of this tour is to first go up from Santa Ursula on a bike suitable route to come. And that's us successful after numerous attempts: the route shown here through the upper districts has very few sections that are so steep that you have to push it (and anyone who knows the Acentejo is, listen up with this information). About Pino Alto the edge of the forest is reached, is first up, then gebikt along which then on the beautiful slopes downward again. Super views in the numerous canyons are included. For the descent, we have a beautiful marked hiking trail found that for the most part is very mobile as flowig Trail and fun. It opens at the edge of the forest, however, in the sack Share vineyard paths, which bring down the brakes to glow, but also have beautiful views. Across a ravine, it goes back to Santa Ursula.
