Tourendatum: 24.10.2012 Tourencharakter: Auffahrt auf Asphalt und einfacher, angenehm steiler Sandstrasse bis ca. 100 Hm unter den Gipfel. Gipfelanstieg zu Fuß in ca. 15 Min. Abfahrt über den sehr schönen, ziemlich flüssigen, mäßig schwierigen Wildkogeltrail (ca. 1000Hm Trail). Tolles Panorama oberhalb der Waldgrenze. Einkehrmöglichkeiten: Wildkogelhaus Tourenverlauf: Vom Parkplatz (ca. 815m) in die Ortsmitte von Bramberg, geradeaus durch und den MTB-Wegweisern folgen. Anfangs auf Asphaltstrasse, später auf guter Sandstrasse in vielen Kehren bei angenehmer Steigung auf der sonnseitigen Route zum Wildkogelhaus (2000m) hinauf. Von hier noch ca. 100Hm bis zum Bikedepot bei der Liftstation direkt unter dem W-Rücken des Wildkogelgipfels (ca. 2100m). Zu Fuß auf dem Steig in ca. 15 Min. zum Gipfelkreuz (2224m). Von dort hat man eine tolle Rundumsicht auf die Hohen Tauern im Süden und über die Kitzbüheler Alpen. Vom Bikedepot kann man noch zum nahegelegenen Beschneiungssee und zur benachbarten Liftstation (ca. 50Hm) hochtreten. Die Abfahrt folgt bis zum Wildkogelhaus entlang der Auffahrt, zwischendurch können Kehren auf Trailabschnitten abgekürzt werden. Ab dem Wildkogelhaus beginnt der berühmte Wildkogeltrail, der anfangs entlang der S-Seite leicht fallend den Berghang Richtung Westen quert, bevor er dann in vielen Kehren ins Tal leitet.Der obere Teil bis zur Waldgrenze ist relativ steinig und erfordert vor allem in den Kehren Konzentration. Ab der Waldgrenze ist er dann meist ruhiger fahrbar. Zwischendurch fährt man auch mal ein kurzes Stück Sandstrasse, bevor der nächste Trailabschnitt beginnt. Von ca. 1150m bis ca. 1000m fährt man auf einem Asphaltsträsschen ab, biegt bei einer Einmünding in eine querende Asphaltstrasse links ab, fährt kurz flach aufwärts bis rechts der z.T. recht steile Abschlusstrail direkt nach Neukirchen (ca. 858m) hinabführt. Tour Date: 24/10/2012 Type of tour: on asphalt driveway and simple, pleasant steep dirt road up to about 100 meters altitude below the summit. Summit climb on foot in about 15 minutes.
