Die Tour ist von der Etappenlänge für Kinder zwischen 5 - 9 Jahre geeignet. Natürlich sollte man sich vor der Tour davon Überzeugen wie weit das Kind denn ohne "Schmerzen" fahren kann, aber unter ~30km ist der Fortschritt der Etappen etwas gering! Dietfurth a.d. Altmühl - Mühlbach - Gundlfing - Haidhof - Riedenburg - Prunn - Nusshausen - Pillhausen - Essing - Oberau - Kehlheim Wie in Etappe 4 beschrieben bietet Dietfurth einiges an Sightseeing und lädt zu einem Stop ein. Leider führt der Altmühlradweg hier nicht direkt an derAltmühl entlang, sondern führt hier um einen Hügel und der Weg geht länger bergauf. Es gibt die Möglichkeit von Dietfurth an der Altmühl zu fahren und den Berg zu umgehen. Der Weg ist aber nicht ausgeschildert! Unmittelbar vor Gundlfing verlassen wir den Radweg und überqueren den Fluss. Schon nach kurzer Strecke kommen wir zur Sommerrodelbahn. Von RIedenburg fährt auf dem Donaukanal ein Passagier Schiff, das auch Radfahrer mit nimmt. Kurz vor Essing gibt es drei Events. Der Blautopf hinter dem Wirtshaus gelegen, die längste Holzbrücke und die Höhlen auf der anderen Altmühlseite. Kurz vor Kehlheim auf der anderen Seite der Kreisstrasse lädt das Schuler Loch zur Besichtigung ein. Und schliesslich kann man kurz vor Kehlheim die Funktion der Schleuse beobachten.
