Die Laabenstrecke mit Schöpfeloption ist eine anspruchsvolle Strecke in landschaftlich reizvollem Terrain! Ausgangspunkt ist Innermanzing, wo bereits Tafeln, die freigegebene "Laabenstrecke" anzeigen. Nach ca 500m empfiehlt es sich allerdings sich entgegen der Beschilderung nicht nach rechts in den Wald hoch, sondern geradeaus auf der Forstrasse zu bleiben. Der beschilderte Teil bis zum Brandhäusl ist nur für Masochisten von Genuß: unzählige kleine Auf- und Abfahrten, rutschige Bachquerungen und zahlreiche Tragepassagen bleiben erspart, wenn man sich hier geradeaus hält! Hier haben auch einige Forstarbeiter emsig gegen die allgemeine Wegefreiheit mit dem MTB gewerkt und rund 200 Bäume auf dem Weg liegengelassen. Der downloadbare Track folgt daher auch der geradeausführenden Forststraße! (=ursprüngliche Routenführung!) Von Brandhäusl führt der Weiterweg über Nebenstraßen, Feld- und Waldwegen vorbei an zahlreichen Bauernhöfen Richtung Laaben. Immer wieder bietet sich aufgrund Kammlage des Weges schöne Ausblicke. In Laaben verfolgen wir nun die Alpentour NÖ Richtung einem markanten Pferdegestüt oberhalb von Forsthof. Von dort kann man elegant zu jener Forststraße queren, die von Schöpflgitter auf den Schöpfl führt. Die recht anstrengende Auffahrt auf den höchsten Gipfel des Wienerwaldes lohnt schon wegen der wartenden Erfrischung auf der Schöpfelhütte! Dort ist auch der kurze Abstecher direkt auf den Gipfel und die Besteigung des Aussichtsturmes lohnend. Die Abfahrt Richtung Osten erfolgt nun nicht auf der Forstsraße, sondern auf nettem Wanderweg. Kurz vor Erreichen des besagten Gestütes biegen wir in einen schmalen, lohnenden Singletrail, der nach Überquerung der Strasse am Gasthof Stegermaier vorbeiführt. Nun abermals zurück auf der Alpentour NÖ auf nettem Wanderweg (diese Passage ist oft tief und gatschig) weiter Richtung Falkensteinerhütte. Kurz vor der Hütte entsprechend der Beschilderung scharf nach links abbiegen und zuerst auf schmalem Wanderweg, dann auf Nebenstraße hinunter nach Innermanzing, zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Die Laabenstrecke selbst ist eine freigegebene MTB Strecke, allerdings ist der Abstecher auf den Schöpfel jedenfalls lohnend!

The Laabenstrecke with Schöpfeloption is a challenging course in scenic rough terrain! The starting point is Innermanzing where already signs that shared "Laabenstrecke" show. After about 500m it is not advisable, however, contrary to the signs on the right into the forest high, but straight to stay on the forest race. The marked part to fire Häusl is only for masochists of enjoyment: spared countless small ascents and descents, slippery creek crossings and numerous portage sections, if you stick straight here! Here also some forestry workers busily gewerkt against the general routes freedom with the MTB and about 200 trees left lying on the road. Therefore, the downloadable track also follows the currently executing forest road! (= Original route!) From fire Häusl leads the further way on secondary roads, field and forest roads past numerous farms Laaben direction. Again and again has due to comb location of the road beautiful views. In Laaben we follow the Alps Tour northeast direction a striking horse stud above Forsthof. From there you can cross to that elegant forest road that leads from Schöpflgitter on the Schöpfl. The pretty strenuous climb to the highest peak of the Vienna Woods is worth because of the waiting refreshments on the Schöpfelhütte! There also the short trip to the peak and climb the observation tower is rewarding. The descent towards the east is now not on the Forstsraße, but on nice trail. Shortly before reaching the said stud we turn into a narrow, rewarding single trail, which passes after crossing the road at the Gasthof Maier Steger. Now once again back on the Alps Tour northeast on nice trail (this passage is often deep and gatschig) and continue towards Falkensteiner hut. Just before the tabernacle according to the signs sharp left and first on a narrow trail, then on side road down to Innermanzing, back to the starting point. The Laabenstrecke itself is a shared MTB route, but the trip to the Schöpfel is certainly worthwhile!
