Trail Description


Si parte dalla piazza del Municipio di Valloriate (795m) e si risale il vallone omonimo: tenendo l'asfalto in direzione Chiotti; la strada asfaltata sale subito decisa e supera le case Prato, San Marcellino (che si lascia alla propria sinistra) e infine giunge a Chiotti (1090m, 3km, fontana) dove la strada diventa sterrata ed arriva ad un trivio in cui bisogna seguire la via larga più a destra (ignorando poco dopo una salita a sinistra); quindi si giunge ad un colletto (cippo votivo, 1195m) ma si continua a seguire la larga strada che in breve diventa uno stretto, divertente single-track nel bosco e che porta alla borgata abbandonata Cà Martina, oltre il quale il sentiero ridiventa strada e giunge nei pressi del Gorrè di Rittana, sul nastro asfaltato che sale da Rittana.

Si prosegue a sinistra sull'asfalto, seguendo le indicazioni per il Chiot Rosa, bella e ampia area attrezzata a cui si giunge dopo poco: la si lascia alla propria sinistra e si prosegue a destra sull'asfalto che porta alla Borgata Paraloup (1385m), recentemente restaurata ed adibita a Museo. Prima di entrarvi si prende a destra: due rampe brevi ma dure e con fondo pessimo portano ad un piccolo pianoro dove va fatta attenzione: si tiene la sinistra su una appena accennata traccia che costeggia un recinto (1450m): dopo pochissimo la traccia diventa sentiero ben evidente che in 700m e qualche saliscendi giunge ad un bivio. Si tiene la destra in salita e si giunge ad un vasto pianoro erboso (Cimitero di Napoleone) sotto l'Alpe di Rittana: si individua il Colle della Gorgia alla propria sinistra e lo si punta cercando la traccia sull'erba; gli ultimi 200m costringono, vista la pendenza, a spingere la bici a mano.

Giunti in Cima al Colle della Gorgia, 1583 m (palina in legno), si ricerca la strada sterrata che termina nei pressi della moderna baita - alloggio del Gias della Presa. Ci si butta sulla traccia-sentiero che scende tagliando a zig-zag le pendici dei prati di Pra Robert e si giunge alla costruzione. Da qui si segue la sterrata in discesa per quasi 2 km fino all'indicazione Lugnan, si prende a destra la strada in piano che a breve diventa un bel single-track; poco dopo si tiene la destra salendo e aggirando un cancelletto in legno che preclude la strada alle moto, si attraversa la microscopica ma pittoresca borgata Lognan, si supera il Rio omonimo e su bel fondo compatto, veloce e divertente e si arriva alla borgata Gorrè: da qui, alle spalle di una fontana, comincia l'asfalto che, seguito in discesa, porta alla borgata Chiapue e poi a Valloriate dopo 22 km.

It starts from the town hall square of Valloriate (795m) and up the valley of the same name: taking the asphalt in the direction Chiotti; the paved road salt immediately determined and exceeds homes Prato, San Marcellino (which you leave on your left), and finally reaches Chiotti (1090m, 3km, fountain) where the road becomes a dirt road and come to a crossroads where you have to follow the path wide right-most (ignoring shortly after a climb to the left); then you come to a collar (votive stone, 1195m) but you continue to follow the wide road which soon becomes a tight, fun single-track through the woods and that leads to the abandoned township Cà Martina, beyond which the path and the road becomes again comes near Gorre of Rittana on asphalt road that climbs from Rittana.
Continue to the left on the asphalt, following the signs to the Chiot Rosa, nice and wide area equipped which is reached after a short: it is left to your left and turn right on the asphalt leading to the Borgata Paraloup (1385m), recently restored and turned into a museum. Before you enter, turn right: two flights short but hard-bottom and poor lead to a small plateau where care must be taken: keep left on a barely visible trail along a fence (1450m): After a very short track becomes a path evident that some ups and downs in 700m and come to a crossroads. Keep right uphill and you will reach a vast grassy plain (Cemetery of Napoleon) under the Alpe di Rittana: it identifies the Hill of Gorgias to his left and tip you looking for the track on the grass; the last 200m force, given the slope, to push the bike by hand.
joints in the Colle della Cima Gorgia 1583 m (wooden pole), we find the dirt road that ends near the modern cabin - accommodation of Gias the socket. He jumps on-track trail that descends in a zig-zag cutting the slopes of meadows Pra Robert and you reach the building. From here, follow the dirt road downhill for about 2 km until the Lugnan, turn right up the road that soon becomes a nice single-track; shortly after, keep right going up and going around a wooden gate which precludes the road to the bike, cross the microscopic but Lognan picturesque village, cross the Rio namesake and nice bottom compact, fast and fun and you get to the township Gorre: Here, behind a fountain, which begins the asphalt, followed downhill, leading to the township Chiapue Valloriate and then after 22 km.
