Bell'itinerario sulle pendici orientali del Monte Baldo, sui sentieri e sulle strade costruiti durante la Grande Guerra. Si sale su una strada asfaltata poco frequentata da Avio a San Valentino, dopodichè si prosegue verso la Polsa fino a raggiungere la postazione detta "Corno della Paura", a picco sopra la Val D'Adige (breve deviazione dall'itinerario per raggiungerla). Da qui inizia la lunga discesa al castello di Sabbionara. Subito dopo i pratoni il sentiero è spesso sporco, dopodichè entra nel bosco e va giù che è un piacere. La traccia segue il sentiero 686 fino in fondo - è la prima volta che l'ho trovato grazie alle cartine digitali diche avevo caricato sul gps, infatti quando il sentiero sbocca sulla sterrata è difficile individuarne il proseguo, nascosto dai cespugli.
Ambientoni solitari raggiungibili facilmente dall'Autobrennero.

Attenzione: nella traccia, presso Sabbionara in direzione Avio, troverete un troncone che io poi ho dovuto percorrere a ritroso dato che la strada era chiusa per lavori. Normalmente questa è la via più bella fra i due paesini. Autobrennero uscita Ala/Avio, da qui proseguire sulla statale fino ad Avio. Prendere la strada in direzione San Valentino e parcheggiare presso il cimitero di Avio.

Nice tour on the eastern slopes of Monte Baldo, on the trails and roads built during the Great War. You climb on a paved road little frequented by Avio on Valentine's Day, then continue towards the Polsa until you reach the station called "Horn of Fear", a peak above the Val d'Adige (short detour from to reach it). From here begins the long descent to the castle of Sabbionara. Immediately after the lawns the trail is often dirty, then enters the forest and goes down that is a pleasure. The trail follows the path 686 to the end - this is the first time I found it thanks to the digital maps Dike had loaded on the gps, when in fact the path crosses the dirt is difficult to identify the continuation, hidden by the bushes.

Warning: the track at Sabbionara towards Avio, you will find a section that I then had to go back because the road was closed for renovation. Normally this is the most beautiful of the two villages. Autobrennero output Ala / Avio, from here continue on the road until Avio. Take the road towards San Valentino and park at the cemetery of Avio.
