Divertente giro in stile AM sul Monte Soratte con partenza dal parcheggio del mercato del paese di Sant'Oreste fatto assieme ai ragazzi dell'Adrenalina Enduro Team.
Una volta parcheggiato si prende un buon caffe sul viale sovrastante (la barista merita :-) ).
Si indossano le protezioni e si riscende al piazzale tramite delle ripide scalette e da questo tramite altre ripide e scivolose scalette si inizia il fuoristrada su un bel single track.
Un volta terminata la prima discesa, molto goduriosa, si arriva su una strada cementata ed una volta attraversatala si va ancora in discesa fino ad una seconda strada da cui si risale fino al cimitero di Sant'Oreste.
Da qui inizia la discesa insegnataci da Ermy ... molto breve ma assai divertente.
Attenzione alle rocce perchè assai scivolose.
Si risale poi lungo la stessa strada che arriva al cimitero, lo si supera e si entra nel centro storico.
Lo si attraversa (è molto carino) e si ripassa per il baretto, altro caffè e sorrisini, e si risale fino all'Eremo in cima al Monte su una bellissima strada nel bosco con belle panoramiche e con pendenze mostruose (fin oltre il 25%).
Da quì, dopo qualche foto, si riscende dapprima lungo lo stesso sentiero e poi ci si sgarrupa tagliando qualche tornante fatto in salita con qualche tratto scassato e qualche ripido divertente.
Si scende fino alla strada bianca che circonda il monte e la si imbocca in direzione nord. Si sale con pendenze modeste, si fa un tratto a spinta e poi si scende lungo un sentiero bello ma viscidissimo. Semplice ma da fare con attenzione.
Una volta terminata la discesa si prosegue su strada bianca e si risale al paese passando sulle strade militari che costeggiano i vari bunker della II guerra mondiale.
Arrivati quasi al paese c'è un museo in fase di ultimazione che penso meriterà una visita sia per gli aspetti naturalistici della riserva del Monte Soratte sia per quelli militari.
Da quì si torna in paese ... altro caffè :-) ... e giù alle macchine.
Faccio notare alcune cose.
1) il giro è breve ma intenso, con salite assai faticose; non credete che questi 20km. siano gratis ... non lo sono affatto!
2) le discese sono molto carine ma mai difficilissime o pericolose; in ogni caso ci vuole una bici adatta, un pò di tecnica ed indossare le protezioni;
3) la partenza può, per semplicità, essere spostata alla base della prima discesa (sotto al cimitero) ... così da finire il giro in modo più esaltante e non iniziarlo subito con una discesa come abbiamo fatto noi.

Fun ride in style on Mount Soracte AM starting at the parking lot of the market of the country of Sant'Oreste done with the boys adrenaline Enduro Team.
Once parked you take a good coffee on the promenade above (the bartender deserves-)).
wear caps and go back down to the square through the steep stairs and through this other steep and slippery stairs you start off-roading on a nice single track. On A After the first descent very gorgeous, you arrive on a concrete road and once attraversatala you go downhill again to a second road which goes back to the cemetery of Sant'Oreste.
From here begins the descent taught by Ermy ... very short but very funny.
Beware of rocks because it is very slippery.
then back along the same road that leads to the cemetery, it is exceeded and you enter the city center.
Cross it (very cute) and it goes over to the little bar, more coffee and smiles, and goes back to the hermitage atop Mount on a beautiful road in the woods with beautiful panoramic and monstrous slopes (up to over 25%). < br>
From here, after a few pictures, go back down the same route at first and then we sgarrupa cutting some uphill hairpin made with some stretch and some battered steep fun.
Go down to the street white that surrounds the mountain and you take in a northerly direction. You climb gradients modest, it makes a sudden thrust and then descend along a beautiful trail but viscidissimo. Simple but to do it carefully.
Once the hill continue on gravel road and go up to the village passing on military roads that run along the various bunker of World War II.
Arrived almost the village there is a museum nearing completion that I think deserves a visit both for its natural reserve of Monte Soracte both for the military.
From here it's back to the country ... more coffee: - ) ... and down to the machines.
I note a few things.
1) the ride is short but intense, with very strenuous climbs; do not believe that these 20km. are free ... not at all!
2) the slopes are very nice but never difficult or dangerous; in any case we need a suitable bike, a bit of technique and wear caps;
3) the start may, for simplicity, be moved to the base of the first descent (under the cemetery) ... so as to finish the round more exciting and not start it immediately with a drop down like we did.
