Trail Description

Anyone who has gone from Acquasanta Terme can not fail to have noticed the sharp peak that overlooks the town to the north. And 'Lace Bow. Panoramic, overlooking the valley of the Tronto, is an excellent destination for hiking in mountain biking. Sure, we're obviously talking about an all mountain bike in strict style, which implies, especially in the part before the Pizzo, taken in hintsPushing if not at the shoulder. From Santa Maria can be reached on the beautiful village of bitumen Tallacano where we do a tour of its charming narrow streets to stock up on water and test ourselves in particular down the winding staircase of the country. Released by Tallacano passing from the lower part we take the main road down the hill and turn right along the path 402 through the chestnut groves of Carpineto. Continue right on track 416 in the direction of Mount Savucco when the thousand meters you turn left for a small path. And 'the path that caresses the ridge before the summit of Pizzo. The transition can be counted perhaps the most striking and impressive of the Monte Ceresa. Before us, that transiting on large slabs of sandstone overlooking the Valley of Novele, the southern foothills of the Monti della Laga and the valley of the Fosso di Noce Andreana with Mount Scalandro in the foreground. The view is breathtaking but you must be very careful not to lean too far in the case of wet rock, or even worse, wet. The Pizzo dell 'Arco is earned in a short time following the mountain ridge to a junction where, taking dx, we arrive at the summit from which you can enjoy an excellent view of the valley of the Tronto and sull'antistante chain della Laga. From the summit of Pizzo starts formidable descent result of the conjunction of the paths in sequence 417-402 - 414 a fascinating trail to be enjoyed all in one breath. Among ilex and chestnut creeps a small track that leads up over Cocoscia then continue even more frantically for Vallesaggia and Santa Maria.
