Da Porta Cartara si sale seguendo un tratto dei Sentieri Piceni al borgo di Castel Trosino. Prendendo a sx dalla curva a gomito alle porte del borgo si imbocca più avanti la strada frangi fuoco che sale al Rifugio Paci. Ultimo segmento d’itinerario su bitume fino a San Giacomo dal quale inizia la discesa per la via Della Pineta. Improvvisamente la traccia vira sulla sx, si restringe puntando il Colle della Luna e nel contempo ci si imbatte in un single track molto funny curato “maniacalmente” dai ragazzi dei Ascoli Bike Team capaci di trasformare vecchi sentieri in una sorta di parco dei divertimenti, il tutto ecosostenibile ed avvincente.
