Bellissimo percorso che porta a conoscere il confine montano tra la Val di Vara (prov. di La Spezia) e la Val Graveglia (prov. di Genova) percorrendo montagne che pur non raggiungendo quote elevate presentano forme e aspetti del tutto insoliti tra boschi di conifere, panorami, guglie rocciose ed affioramenti in diaspro rosso un tempo usato per l’estrazione del rame.
Da Ossegna seguiamo la SP52 in dir. Maissana ed in breve prendiamo sulla dx la stradina che sale per Colli di Ossegna; dopo alcuni tornanti il fondo diviene sterrato e con pendenze più dolci raggiungiamo Colli dove troviamo l’asfalto. Seguiamo l’asfalto in discesa fino a giungere al tornante della Chiesa di Valletti dove prendiamo a sx la stradina minore. In breve raggiungiamo un tornante dove prendiamo a dx la sterrata che sale con pendenze leggere prima in bellissimo castagneto e poi con viste più aperte sulle guglie del M.te Verruga uscendo al Passo del Biscia (area pic-nic per sosta). Trascuriamo la strada asfaltata e prendiamo a sx la sterrata chiusa da sbarra (segnavia 5T); si sale piacevolmente e raggiunta la casetta della Forestale abbandoniamo la principale e prendiamo a sx la sterrata minore che attraversa a mezzacosta un fitto bosco di conifere; poco prima che la strada termini, imbocchiamo a dx l’evidente rampa (segni CAI) che ci immette su bel sentiero da seguire fino al Colle delle Matite (ultimi 20 mt a spinta). A sx, una variante di 250 mt ci porta ad una meritevole zona panoramica. Tornati al Colle seguiamo sulla dx il sentiero che sale e raggiunta una recinzione a filo spinato la seguiamo parallelamente (attenzione!!) su bel crinaletto panoramico che in sali e scendi ci porta alla sella di Fonte Sacrata; un quadrivio di sentieri tra il M.te Verruga ed il M.te Porcile. Seguiamo a sx la stradina che scende a varcare il rio Lagorara tra suggestive guglie ed affioramenti rocciosi; oltre una breve rampa si procede in discesa a tratti ghiaiosa dallo sfasciume di roccia tipico della zona. Superato un cancello usciamo su strada sterrata da seguire a sx; in breve troviamo l' asfalto e mantenuto ci porta a Campore e poi sulla SP52 che, seguita a sx ci riporta ad Ossegna.

Beautiful trail that leads to know the mountain border between the Val di Vara (prov. La Spezia) and Val Graveglia (prov. Genoa) along the mountains that although not reaching high altitudes have forms and aspects at all unusual among coniferous forests , views, rocky spiers and red jasper outcrops in a time used for the extraction of copper.
From Ossegna follow the SP52 in dir. Maissana and in short we take the small road on the right that goes to the Hills of Ossegna; after a few bends the fund becomes unpaved and with slopes more gentle hills we reach where we find the asphalt. We follow the track downhill until you reach the bend of the Church of valets where we left the road less. In short reach a hairpin bend to the right where we take the unpaved roads with slight inclines with before in beautiful chestnut and then with more open views of the spiers of Mt Verruga exiting the Snake Pass (picnic area for parking). We neglect the paved road to the left and take the dirt road closed by a barrier (marking 5T); climb nicely and reached the house of Forestry abandon the main left and take the dirt road that runs through the lower hillside a dense forest of conifers; just before the street terms, we take the obvious ramp to the right (signs CAI) that puts us on good path to follow until the Colle delle Pencils (last 20 mt push). On the left, a variant of 250 mt brings us to a deserving scenic area. Back at the Colle follow the path on the right that goes up and reached a barbed wire fence to follow the parallel (attention !!) on beautiful panoramic crinaletto that takes us up and down in the saddle Source Sacrata; a crossroads of paths between the Mt and Mt Verruga Pigpen. We follow the left road that descends to cross the river between Lagorara impressive spiers and rocky outcrops; over a short flight we proceed downhill stretches from the tumbled pebble rock typical of the area. After passing the gate we go out on a dirt road to follow to the left; in short we find the 'asphalt and maintained leads us to Campore and then the SP52 that followed left us back to Ossegna.
