Partenza dal parcheggio del supermercato DICO di Pian di Venola . Si attraversa il ponte sul Reno e al primo incrocio si svolta a DX , si sale per circa 4 km. su asfalto ( traffico quasi nullo ) e una volta raggiunto il quadrivio sul crinale si prosegue diritto in salita . Si procede con saliscendi su sterrato , incontrando lungo il percorso i resti delle borgate che furono teatro dei tragici eventi dell’autunno 1944 , e infine si arriva , poco dopo il cimitero di Casaglia , ad un bivio ( un sentiero scende anche a SX ) si procede dritto costeggiando un paio di costruzioni . Seguire i segnavia bianco rossi CAI e procedere nel bosco ( questo primo tratto risulta un po’ sporco a causa di alberi caduti sul sentiero ) , il sentiero scende quindi in ripida discesa , ma con tratti comunque scorrevoli e veloci , anche se con passaggi in decisa pendenza .
Raggiunto la loc. La Quercia e quindi l’asfalto si svolta a DX e si risale ( circa 4 km. ) fino al quadrivio incontrato in precedenza .
Esiste anche una variante off road per ritornare al quadrivio , e’ sufficiente seguire i segnavia bianco rossi CAI che si incontreranno un km. circa dopo la loc. Quercia sulla SX seguendo la strada asfaltata .
Il tratto off road e’ comunque abbastanza duro , con alcuni tratti difficilmenti pedalabili .
Raggiunto di nuovo il quadrivio , si procede in salita come all’andata , e dopo aver raggiunto il tratto sterrato si incontra , sulla SX , l’indicazione per “ Monte Sole “ .
Si segue il sentiero il leggera salita , e una volta raggiunta la sella tra Monte Caprara e Monte Sole si incontra un bivio con alcuni sentieri che si dipartono.
Seguiamo il sentiero che scende in discesa sulla SX che ci portera’ giu’ fino a Sperticano , e quando incontreremo l’unica deviazione , prendere la traccia sulla SX .
Attenzione comunque ,perche’ questo sentiero , pur non presentando difficolta’ insormontabili , e’ da affrontare con estrema cautela , gradini di roccia , passaggi stretti , massi smossi , tronchi , non disgiunti anche da pendenze di tutto rispetto ci accompagneranno fino al borgo di Sperticano .
Raggiunto il borgo si svolta a SX su asfalto ed in breve si ritorna al parcheggio di partenza.
Lungo la SS 64 Porrettana da Bologna in direzione SUD , due km. dopo il paese di Marzabotto , sulla SX .

Departure from the parking lot of the supermarket DICO of Pian di Venola. Cross the bridge over the Rhine and at the first intersection, turn RIGHT, go up to about 4 km. on asphalt (almost no traffic) and once you reach the crossroads on the ridge, continue straight uphill. We proceed with ups and downs along the dirt road, encountering along the way the remains of the villages that were the scene of the tragic events of autumn 1944, and finally you arrive, shortly after the cemetery Casaglia, at a junction (a path descends even to SX) is proceed straight along a couple of buildings. Follow the trail white and red CAI proceed in the woods (this first section is a little 'dirty due to fallen trees on the trail), the trail descends down a steep descent, but with traits, however, sliding and fast, although with strong steps in slope.
reached the loc. The Oak and the asphalt then turn right and go up (about 4 km.) Until the crossroads previously encountered.
There is also a variant of off-road to return to the crossroads, and 'Just follow the white trail red CAI They will meet a km. about after loc. Oak tree on the left, following the road paved.
The stretch off road and 'still quite hard, with some sections difficilmenti ridable.
Reached again the crossroads, proceed uphill as the first leg, and after reaching the dirt road meets on the SX, the indication for "Monte Sole".
Follow the path the slight slope, and once you reach the saddle between Monte Sole and Monte Caprara you come to a fork with some trails that branch off .
We follow the path that drops down on the left, which will take us' down 'until Sperticano, and when we meet the only deviation, take the track on the SX.
Warning though,' cause this path, while not presenting difficulties 'insurmountable, and' to deal with extreme caution, rock steps, narrow passages, shaken boulders, logs, not even separated by gradients of respect will accompany us to the village of Sperticano.
After reaching the village, turn SX on asphalt and quickly return to the parking lot to start.
