Il percorso si sviluppa a partire da parcheggio di localita’ Zena ( presente una utilissima fontanella ) sul fondovalle omonimo .
Si sale su asfalto fino a loc. Crocione e poi a Querceto di Gorgognano .
Alcuni successivi duri strappi su sterrato portano a Borgo Casola , da li’ si scende lungo un sentiero sulla Sx ., e dopo poche centinaia di mt. si incontra un sentiero che svolta a gomito sulla DX in discesa .
Veloce toboga nel bosco , attenzione ad alcuni passaggi esposti , e ad alcuni gradoni su roccia , non difficili ma da non sottovalutare , infine ad un incrocio si prosegue dritti in salita ( tratti a spinta ) fino a raccordarsi ad una carrareccia sterrata .
La carrareccia porta , con diversi saliscendi ( faticosi , anche se pedalabili )fino ad incrociare la SS65 .
Si prosegue a DX fino a Livergnano , a poche centinaia di mt. , e qui’ si svolta su una strada asfaltata in salita sulla DX. con i segnavia bianchi e rossi CAI .
La strada si trasforma in carrareccia sterrata , lungo la quale si prosegue per almeno un paio di KM . evitando le deviazioni laterali ( ancora saliscendi faticosi ), fino a Borgo Casola .
Al Borgo , gia’ incontrato all’andata , si ritorna sul sentiero che scende sulla SX , ma anziche’ svoltare sulla DX ( discesa precedente ) si prosegue dritto fino ad un cancello che sbarra il passaggio .
Qui si svolta secco sulla SX e su gradoni di roccia si prosegue sulla traccia CAI , attenzione perche’ dopo un primo tratto agevole, il sentiero aumenta considerevolmente la pendenza e diventa , se non difficile , sicuramente impegnativo
Attenzione , soprattutto , ad un passaggio su gradoni di roccia decisamente difficile , dove si consiglia , se non particolarmente esperti , di scendere a piedi .
Il sentiero termina sulla strada fondovalle ZENA da dove , svoltando a SX , si ritorna dopo circa 2/3 KM al parcheggio di partenza .
Lungo la strada fondovalle Zena , in direzione SUD partendo da San Lazzaro di Savena (BO)
The route runs from the parking lot of the locality 'Zena (this a very useful fontanelle) on the valley of the same name.
Salt on asphalt to loc. Crocione and then Querceto of Gorgognano.
Some hard after jerking on a dirt road leading to Borgo Casola, from them 'go down a path on the Left., And after a few hundred meters. you come across a path that turns on DX elbow down.
Fast toboggan in the woods, attention to some passages, and a few steps out of the rock, not hard but not least, finally at an intersection continue straight uphill (taken to be pushed) to link up to a dirt road.
The cart track leads, with many ups and downs (tiring, even if ridable) until you cross the SS65.
Continue to the right until Livergnano, a few hundred of mt. And here 'turn on a paved road uphill on the DX. red and white signpost with the CAI.
The road turns to dirt track dirt road, along which continues for at least a couple of KM. avoiding lateral deviations (yet tiring ups and downs), up to Borgo Casola.
Al Borgo, already 'met in the first leg, you return to the path that goes down on the left, but instead of' turn on the DX (previous descent) go straight up to a gate that blocks the passage.
Here you turn on the SX and dry on steps of rock continues on track CAI, attention 'cause after a first stroke smooth, the path significantly increases the slope and becomes, if not difficult certainly challenging
Warning, above all, to a passage on steps of decidedly hard rock, where it is recommended, if not particularly experts, to walk down.
The trail ends on the road ZENA valley from where you turn LEFT returns you to the parking lot after about 2-3 KM of departure.
Along the way Zena valley, in south direction starting from San Lazzaro (BO)
