In assoluto uno degli itinerari più belli della zona, che i biker più esigenti non possono farsi sfuggire. Si sale con la funivia di Merano 2000 e appena arrivati in cima comincia lo spettacolo del panorama verso Merano. Poi si pedala con due brevi ma duri strappi fino al giogo di Pietramala con stupendo panorama sulla val sarentino e si scende su sentiero impegnativo fino al rifugio Merano (ristoro). da qui si segue lo splendido sentiero europeo E5, tutto pedalabile in continuo saliscendi fino agli ometti di pietra, luogo incantato con stupendo panorama. Si arriva alla malga di Verano (ristoro) e poi si prende l'impegnativo ma divertente sentiero 2 fino ad Avelengo paese e poi il 2a fino alla fine dell'itinerario. Il sentiero 2 ha tratti molto tecnici, bisognerà essere in possesso di ottima tecnica di guida e bici adeguata Superstrada merano-bolzano uscita merano sud, direzione Scena poi a dx verso la funivia di Merano 2000 stazione a valle, oppure poco prima della funivia a dx park presso hotel Eremita.
