Anello divertente e tecnico, partenza dai piedi della vecchia chiesa di Balangero, salita alla chiesa per riscaldarsi e discesa della scalinata ( un must per la partenza di ogni mio giro in zona.... )Salita su strada asfaltata verso le Benne, in cima alla salita si abbandona la strada asfaltata per prendere un sentiero scorrevole che conduce ai piedi di Monte Giovetto.
Da qui si inizia a salire un pò di più su un sentiero un pò più impegnativo. Dopo un pò si incontra un bivio con un paletto in legno indicante Case ......, non si prende il bivio ma si prosegue sul sentiero fino a raggiungere un'altro bivio sempre con un paletto in legno indicante Monte Giovetto. Questo bivio dovrebbe essere segnato con un Waypoint sulla traccia. Per chi vuole variare l'anello ed ha un pò di velleità escursionistiche si può proseguire sul ripido sentiero verso Monte Giovetto ( sulla traccia è stato percorso il sentiero per un tratto fino a poi decidere di ritornare sul sentiero principale dell'anello ), il sentiero è praticamente impraticabile in sella nella fase di salita ma praticabile se si ha un buon "manico" in discesa....e risulta anche molto soddisfacente. Occhio alle pietre però perchè il sentiero è stretto e formata in parte dalle pietre del monte che sono molto frastagliate.....
Proseguendo sul tracciato dell'anello invece si entra in un tratto misto molto divertente e tecnico fino ad arrivare ad incominciare la discesa verso i ruderi del Vecchio castello di Balangero. Questo tratto è abbasdtanza impegnativo e nell'ultima fase si rischia di dover scendere dalla sella perchè il fondo è molto sconnesso ed a pietroni..... Arrivati al castello si riprende un sentiero in salita che inizialmente è stretto e tecnico ma poi diventa un falso piano molto bello e "bucolico". Questo ci porterà al limitare del territorio della vecchia cava dell'Amiantifera. Qui si può decidere se addentrarsi nel terreno della cava o se proseguire sul tracciato dell'anello ( anche questo bivio dovrebbe essere segnato sul tracciato). Proseguendo sul tracciato si intraprende una discesa veloce e molto divertende che riporta a pochi metri dal punto di partenza ai piedi della chiesa. Solo qui si ritornerà su strada asfaltata......
In conclusione direi un tracciato corto ma comunque molto impegnativo e divertente. Che offre belle soddisfazioni e spunti per variare/ampliare il giro.
Consigliato a chi ha una preparazione fisica buona ( gli strappi da fare a piedi direi che sono belli ripidi.... ) e per chi ha buone doti di controllo della bike
P.S. è la prima traccia GPX che creo/pubblico....mi scuso se non dovessi essere riuscito a includere i Waypoint.... nel caso segnalatemelo che vedo di capire come fare. Dalla piazza del paese si procede nel "centro storico" fino ad arrivare al punto di inizio del tracciato

Ring fun and technical, starting from the feet of the old church of Balarang, climb to the church to warm up and down the stairs (a must for the departure of any tour in my area ....) climb on the paved road to the bucket at the top to climb off the tarmac road to catch a sliding path that leads to the foot of Monte Giovetto.
From here you start to climb a little more on a trail a little more challenging. After a while you come to a crossroads with a stake in wood houses ...... showing, do not take the fork in the road but you continue on the path until you reach another fork in the road always with a wooden pole in Monte indicating Giovetto. This junction should be marked with a waypoint on the track. For those who want to change the ring and has a bit of wishful thinking you can go hiking on the steep path to Monte Giovetto (on the track was walked the path for a while until then decide to go back to the main path of the ring), the path is virtually impassable in the saddle during the climb but workable if you have a good "handle" down .... and it is also very satisfying. Eye on the stones, however, because the path is narrow and formed in part from the stones of the mountain are very jagged .....
Continuing on the path of the ring instead of a sudden you get into mixed lot of fun until you get to the technical and begin the descent to the ruins of the old castle Balarang. This stretch is abbasdtanza challenging and the last phase is likely to have to get out of the saddle because the bottom is very uneven and large stones ..... Arrived at the castle shooting an uphill path which is initially narrow and technical, but then it becomes a false floor very nice and "bucolic." This will lead us to the edge of the territory of the old quarry dell'Amiantifera. Here you can decide whether to go into the land of the quarry or to continue on the path of the ring (although this junction should be marked on the track). Continuing on the path you embark on a fast descent and very divertende showing a few meters from the starting point at the foot of the church. Only here you will return to the paved road ......
In conclusion I would say a short track but still very challenging and fun. That offers great satisfaction and suggestions for change / extend the ride.
Recommended for those who have a good physical preparation (rips by foot I would say are pretty steep ....) and for those who have good skills control of the bike
PS GPX is the first track that I create / public .... I apologize if I should not be able to include in the case please let Waypoint .... I see to figure out how to do it. From the village square we proceed in the "historical center" until you get to the starting point of the track
