Splendido itinerario, totalmente pedalabile in qualsiasi stagione. Subito alla partenza percorriamo 1 km di strada asfaltata che attraversa l’interno della spettacolare grotta di San Giovanni (illuminata dalle 9:00AM).
Dopo esser passati per la miniera di BARRAXIUTTA, arriviamo alle rovine di SA DUCHESSA su strada sterrata, iniziamo la salita che culmina con TINNI’. Giunti ad ARENAS proseguiamo per un breve tratto in discesa ai piedi di punta Pilocca. Poi costeggiamo il canion immerso nel verde scavato dal rio Perdu Marras. Saliamo nuovamente fino ad Arcu sa Cruxi attraversando prima i villaggi minerari abbandonati BAUEDDU e MALACALZETTA. La salita è finita, scendiamo a SAN BENEDETTO, inizia l’asfalto che ci porta fino al ponte del lago Corsi, riprendiamo lo sterrato costeggiando la diga fino alle chiuse. Ci aspetta l’ultimo tratto pianeggiante, misto asfalto/sterrato e con brevi saliscendi. Siamo arrivati, se vi fosse venuta fame c’è un ristorante/pizzeria vicino alla vostra auto. Buona pedalata

Wonderful itinerary, totally pedaled in any season. Immediately at the start we walk 1 km of paved road that runs through the interior of the spectacular cave of St. John (illuminated from 9:00 AM).
After going to the mine Barraxiutta, we come to the ruins of SA DUCHESS on a dirt road, begin the climb that culminates with Tinni '. Once in ARENAS continue for a short distance down the foot peak Pilocca. Then drive along the canyon carved by the river in the countryside Perdu Marras. We climb back up to Arcu know Cruxi before crossing the abandoned mining villages and BAUEDDU Malacalzetta. The climb is over, we go down to SAINT BENEDICT, begins the asphalt that leads up to the bridge of the Lake Course, we take the dirt road along the dam up to the camera. We expect the final flat stretch, mixed asphalt / gravel and with short ups and downs. We arrived, if there were hungry there is a restaurant / pizzeria next to your car. Happy cycling
