Un bel giro fatto da un gruppo di 7 amici durante un weekend di relax con un tempo splendido.
Partenza da Claviere (mt 1770) alle 9.30 circa, in 10 minuti di strada asfaltata abbiamo raggiunto la seggiovia di Montgenevre dove abbiamo caricato le biciclette (13 euro) e siamo saliti "comodamente" a quota 2170. A parte un errore iniziale con salita e discesa per la stessa via (dove abbiamo incontrato e ammirato delle bellissime marmotte a distanza ravvicinatai) abbiamo ripreso la giusta traccia che parte sotto l'arrivo della seggiovia tenendo la sinistra.
Il percorso è molto bello e vario, sempre sterrato, in alcuni punti un po' tecnico per via del brecciolino che lo rende scivoloso. Si passa accanto a fortificazioni totalmente abbandonate, i paesaggi sono incantevoli. Il lago Sette colori è un buon punto dove fare una pausa e rinfrescare i piedi nell'acqua gelata. Alle 14.30 abbiamo raggiunto a Sagna Longa il primo punto di ristoro (durante il percorso non si trova nulla, nemmeno fontanelle). Il rientro offre una bella discesa non impegnativa che sbuca direttamente nel prato sotto la chiesa di Claviere.
Noi abbiamo fatto il giro con molta calma, con lunghe pause, complice anche il sol leone che ci ha abbrustoliti (pochissima ombra durante la prima parte del percorso).

A nice tour made by a group of 7 friends during a weekend of relaxation with a wonderful weather.
Out from Claviere (1770 meters) at about 9:30, 10 minutes of paved road we reached the chairlift Montgenevre where we loaded the bicycles (13 euro) and we got "comfortably" at an altitude of 2170 Apart from an early mistake with ascent and descent by the same route (where we met and admired the beautiful marmots remote ravvicinatai) we took the right trail that starts under the 'Arrival of the chair holding the left.
The course is very nice and varied, always dirt road, in some places a little' technical because of the gravel which makes it slippery. It goes next to the fortifications totally abandoned, the landscapes are lovely. The lake Seven colors is a good place to take a break and refresh your feet in the icy water. At 14.30 we reached Sagna Longa in the first refreshment point (when the path does not find anything, even fountains). The back offers a nice downhill non-binding, which goes directly into the lawn beneath the church of Claviere.
We have been around very quietly, with long pauses, also because of the sun lion that has toasted (very little shade during the first part of the path.) On A thank you to my fellow travelers Mario, Stephen F., Charles, Andrew and Stephen C. for taking me in a beautiful ride!
