Raggiunto in auto il borgo fantasma di Valle Piola si intarprende una vecchia mulattiera che, aggirando il Monte della Farina ed oltrepassando il Fosso della Canale, sbuca a due passi dalla frazione di Acquaratola. Pochissime anime vivono ancora in questo angolo remoto della Laga dove a presidio dell'unica piazzetta stazionano branchi di cani pastori. Oltrepassata la chiesa si risale la carrareccia per il Colle la Ciuffa ed in prossimita di un casolare svoltiamo a dx. Seguiamo l'ampia sterrata che taglia i Piani ed arriva ad un'altro paese disabitato:Piano Maggiore. Risalendo la strada che si insinua tra il monte della Farina e la Montagna di Campli si arriva a Pietra Stretta dove scegliamo l'opzione freeride nel Fosso del Rio Valle come alternativa alla monotona carrareccia che da Acquachiara scende a Valle Piola.

reached by car the ghost village of Valle Piola is intarprende an old mule track, bypassing the Monte della Farina and past the Fosso della Channel, comes very close to the village of Acquaratola. Very few souls still live in this remote corner of the Laga where a garrison stationed in the square of the only schools of sheepdogs. Beyond the church dates back to the cart for the Colle Ciuffa and in the vicinity of a cottage turn right. We follow the wide dirt road that cuts Plans and arrives at another uninhabited country: Piano Maggiore. Going up the road that winds through the mountain of flour and the Mountain of Campli you get to choose the option where Stone Close freeride in Fosso del Rio Valley as an alternative to monotonous track that descends from Acquachiara in Valle Piola.
