Uno dei giri piu' classici della zona; da Montepulciano si raggiunge Pienza seguendo la sentieristica provinciale che passa da Poggiano per poi scendere al fondovalle del torrente Tresa e risalire alla citta' di Pio II per la strada panoramica ( salita impegnativa). Dopo aver attraversato il centro storico di Pienza si costeggiano le mura di S. Caterina da cui si gode di un panorama meraviglioso sulla Valdorcia per poi rientrare a Montepulciano dapprima percorrendo un breve tratto asfaltato e, successivamente 8 gradevoli km lungo la sterrata di S. Ambrogio ed un ultimo bel saliscendi sulla carrareccia che scende al pod. Lupaia per poi risalire passando per il pod. Colombelle. Buon giro a tutti!!

One of the most laps' classic area; Montepulciano to Pienza is reached by following the road that goes from Rest of paths and then descend to the valley of the river Tresa and go back to the city 'of Pius II for the scenic road (hilly). After crossing the historical center of Pienza line the walls of St. Catherine where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Orcia Valley and then returned to Montepulciano first along a short stretch of tarmac and then pleasing 8 km along the dirt road of St. Ambrose and a latch on the last beautiful track that descends to the pod. Lupaia and then up through the pod. Doves. Merry go round at all!
