Trail Description

The Monte Cardosa (1818 m.) Above the upper Val Nerina near the villages of the Black Castelsantangelo and Visso. Its unmistakable profile, with that aspect from lone sentry guarding the valley and with his cross visible from all sides ....... just what pushed us to reach its peak! Visso the climb, already covered in other circles, it is long but enjoyable. Cows and horses grazing accompany the rise, the views are always eye-catching! When the road reaches its highest altitude (1380 m. Approximately) it is left to go left into the sparse woods where you start to climb ..... and a push. Out of the woods here is the steep slope of Costa Cavolese grazing horses and goats to the cross of Cardosa. They are 300 meters in altitude that you are all in portage but that does not get tired that much, maybe because the goal is always visible! From the cross of Monte Cardosa the view is irresistibly attracted to the western slopes of the Sibillini chain and sequence of peaks that compose it. A landscape that amply repays the effort of the climb! From the cross begins the descent towards Visso for the long northern ridge of the mountain. After the pine forest of Colle Cerreta, which forces a short climb, begins the most challenging part because the trail is not always clearly visible and branches and shrubs put a strain on the balance and ... leather biker! The last section on the Hill La Rocchetta also has some rocky area and exposed passages but now Visso is coming and you will soon reach the village.
