Traversata con rientro in treno o bus, salita su strada, lungo traverso su sentieri e discesa ripida molto difficile.
Itinerario: Hospental (oppure Realp) - Furka - Liessland - Gale - Hungerberg - Gere - Unterwassern - Oberwald
Salita: banale lungo la strada del Furka, non ho trovato alternative semplici, ma se si ha tempo e voglia è possibile risalire tutta la Urseren da Andermatt con sentiero panoramico in quota via rossmettlen (solo parzialmente ciclabile). Rossmettlen è raggiungibile con pista militare.
Traverso: molto bello, ma l'ultimo terzo poco ciclabile con frequenti tratti a spinta.
Discesa: perlopiù molto difficile per terreno ripido e sentiero a tratti troppo scavato, con buon occhio e tecnica è preferibile scendere freeride per pratoni, altamente sconsigliate bici XC, serve angolo sterzo aperto per non ribaltarsi. Ci sono tratti relax, ma, manici esclusi si scende di sella ogni tanto.
Per rientrare a Realp/Hospental, avendo limiti di tempo, ho usato il treno: molto comodo, ma caro (c.a 28 Fr bici+1 adulto, solo per tratta Oberwald-Realp), c'è una carrozza attrezzata per i bikers, nel mio caso gentilissimo il capotreno. Alternativa il bus, di cui non conosco il prezzo, se si ha tempo con il bus si risale il passo del Furka e si ridiscende a Realp per sentiero, di cui però ignoro le condizioni. Rientrare per strada sarebbe un calvario in mezzo a moto ed auto a gas tutto aperto.
Commento: bellissimi panorami, ambiente alpino notevole attorniati dai ghiacciai e vette over 4000 in abbondanza. Considerando i tanti e bellissimi itinerari vallesani che ho avuto il piacere di seguire in tanti anni questo è un pochino deludente sul piano discesistico, personalmente preferisco maggior scorrevolezza. Piacevole il traverso con un paio di tunnell in stile "Tracciolino".
Note: ero indeciso se tentare la tallilucke e scendere la talligrat verso Gale, la tanta neve presente mi ha risolto il dubbio e ho scelto il traverso. Ho poi scelto di puntare a Gale per aumentare il single-track, ma si può scendere da Firbach, alternativa che io ho scartato perché costringe poi a seguire una pista d'alpeggio e mi incuriosiva di più la discesa da Gale.
Forse (non lo so non avendo provato) anziché scendere diretti dalla Croce come ho fatto io, è meglio passare da Tallistafel (non l'ho fatto perché mancavano i segni bianchi e rossi).

Crossing with return by train or bus, uphill road, long traverse paths and steep descent very difficult.

Ascent: trivial along the way of the Furka, I did not find simple alternatives, but if you have the time and inclination can be traced all the Urseren from Andermatt with the Panorama Trail in share via rossmettlen (only partially path). Rossmettlen is accessible by bike military.
Traverso: very nice, but the last third cycle with frequent stretches a little push.
Descent: mostly very difficult terrain and steep path at times too excavated, with a good eye and technique is preferable to freeride off lawns, highly discouraged XC bike, need not open for steering angle tip. There are stretches relax, but excluding handles descend from the saddle every so often.
To return to Realp / Hospental, having time constraints, I used the train: very convenient, but expensive (about 28 + bike Fr 1 adult, only for it Oberwald-Realp), there is a carriage equipped for bikers, in my case the friendly conductor. Alternatively, the bus, which I do not know the price, if you have time with the bus climbs the Furka Pass and back down to Realp for trail, but for which I do not know the conditions. Return to the road would be an ordeal in the middle of cars and motorcycles gas wide open.
Comment: beautiful views, great alpine environment surrounded by glaciers and peaks over 4000 in abundance. Considering the many beautiful trails in the Valais that I had the pleasure of following in so many years this is a bit disappointing in terms discesistico, I personally prefer greater smoothness. Pleasant through with a couple of tunnels style "Tracciolino."
Notes: I was undecided whether to go down and groped the tallilucke the Tälligrat towards Gale, a lot of snow this I solved the doubt and I chose the wrong way. I then chose to aim for Gale to increase the single-track, but you can go down to Firbach alternative that I discarded because it forces us then to follow a track on the alp and I was curious about more descent from Gale. Perhaps
(I do not know not having tried it) rather than directly down from the Cross as I did, I dropped by Tallistafel (I did not because there were no signs red and white).
