Giunti in auto nella frazione di Cervaro, svoltiamo a sx e parcheggiamo nello slargo sopra il torrente Cernaro. Si percorre l’asfaltata fino all’abitato di Frattoli. Dopo una breve visita al paesino , in corrispondenza di una chiesetta, svoltiamo a sx per una ripida carrareccia che punta il Monte di Mezzo. Dopo una serie di tornanti panoramici arriviamo a quota 1630 m circa dove prendiamo a dx per una strada sterrata la quale, man mano che si addentra nei boschi, diventa sempre più stretta e sporca. Si attraversano una serie di piccoli fossati seguendo una non sempre agevole traccia che il bosco tende a richiudere in alcuni punti. Oltrepassati il fosso Malbove e quello della Lagnetta sbuchiamo sulla carrareccia che entra nel Fosso dell’Acero, svoltiamo a dx e dopo una veloce discesa seguita da un tratto pianeggiante si intercetta sulla dx il sentiero 300 C.A.I. che scende a Casacastina. In corrispondenza della chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena giriamo a sx e approdiamo in paese. Lasciandoci sulla sx la sede del Parco scendiamo a dx per una ripida discesa che taglia Cesacastina arrivando sopra un rudere con una piccola croce sulla propria sommità. Sconfinati per un breve tratto sul bitume, approfittiamo dell’ultimo tratto di sentiero sulla dx che esce sul secondo tornante successivo della strada provinciale. Ripreso l’asfalto, con poche pedalate ritorniamo a Cervaro per chiudere il nostro giro.

Once in the car in the village of Cervaro, turn left and park in the open space above the stream Cernaro. Walk along the paved to the town of Frattoli. After a brief visit to the town, at a church, turn left up a steep track that tip the Monte di Mezzo. After a series of switchbacks scenic arrive at an altitude of about 1630 m where you turn right onto a dirt road which, as it delves into the woods, becomes more and more narrow and dirty. You go through a series of small ditches following a not always easy to trace the wood tends to close at some points. Exceeded that of the ditch and Malbove Lagnetta come out on the track that enters the Fosso dell'Acero, turn right and after a quick descent followed by a flat stretch intercepts on the right path CAI 300 that drops to Casacastina. At the church of Santa Maria Maddalena turn left and we arrive in the country. Leaving the Park Headquarters on the left to the right to go down a steep descent that cuts Cesacastina arriving on a ruin with a small cross on its top. Overdue for a short distance on bitumen, take advantage of the last section of the trail on the right that comes on after the second bend of the road. Taken over asphalt, with a few rides back to Cervaro to close our tour.
