L’escursione ha inizio in corrispondenza dell’incrocio tra la S.S. del Gran Sasso d’Italia e la s.p. per Prato Selva. Dopo una breve visita tra i vicoli del comune di Fano Adriano percorriamo circa dodici km di asfaltata fino a giungere in corrispondenza dell’ultimo tornante a sx prima della fine della strada. Prendendo a dx per il sentiero n.100 C.A.I. si affronta un bel trail completamente nel bosco. Nell’itinerario si alternano scorrevoli tratti su terra battuta a passaggi tecnici su pietra arenaria. A parte qualche brevissimo strappo in risalita, la discesa si presenta avvincente, striscia nella selva sovrastando il torrente Rocchetta, entra nel Fosso di Nerito e culmina nell’omonimo abitato. Da Nerito, gli ultimi km rimasti per tornare al nostro punto di partenza si percorrono obbligatoriamente su bitume ma senza stenti in quanto la dolce calata ci permette di non tornar più a spingere sui pedali.

The tour begins at the intersection between the SS the Gran Sasso of Italy and Sp Prato Selva. After a short tour through the narrow streets of the town of Fano Adriano walk about twelve kilometers of paved until you reach at the last hairpin bend to the left before the end of the road. Taking on the right path for the # 100 C.A.I. you deal with a completely beautiful trail in the woods. The itinerary stretches alternate sliding on clay in technical passages of sandstone. Apart from a few very short tear in ascent, the descent is presented compelling strip in the forest overhanging the stream Rocchetta, enter the Pit of Nerito and culminates in the homonymous village. From Nerito, the last remaining miles back to our starting point must you ride on bitumen but without hardships as the gentle descent allows us no more to return to push on the pedals.
