Trail Description

Salita a tratti dura. Bellissimo e panoramico sentiero fino a Cheneil. Relax in leggera discesa.

Epic ride between the Valtournenche and Val d'Ayas.
Long and hard but very rewarding with unique scenery.
Portage 200 m to get to the hill Cime Bianche and 250 m to get to the Nana.
The departure can be made from any intermediate point but should be around noon.
Wanting can 'be lightened using the lifts.
I set off from La Magdeleine, cycling up to Chamois, arrived in the country to take to the right of the church, follow the farm road until it runs alongside the creek. Ascent at times tough. At an altitude of 2000 turn left at the obvious white rocks, always on the farm. Climb up to the detour to the collar of Cheneil (2300 m) trail 107 Beautiful and scenic footpath to Cheneil. Trail stretches of bitumen and 26 until you cross the farm road that climbs from Valtournenche Salette and then follow the narrow streets of the service of the plants up on the hill Cime Bianche (2900 m). Ascent at times hard and push the last 150-200 m in altitude. Just before the hill top of the Cime Bianche turn right on the path TMR. Panorama show on glacier Twenty and Grand Lake. Descent technique and exposed to the Great Lake (okkio!) Then smooth and gorgeous with tourists who will make the photos as if you arrived from Mars. Vallone pristine and beautiful finally away from the ski lifts. Traits with bike on the side for the presence of boring rocks on the trail but just look up and admire the scenery to enjoy these moments. Arriving at an altitude of 2000 m about once past the wooden bridge going to take the obvious Rou Cortot (which brings up wanting to Saint Vincent!) With short lifts. Relax in downhill. Thrill to the dark and low tunnel that you can 'Cmq around. Other views show over the Val d'Ayas. In correspondence with obvious deviation go right to the last ascent of the day prior to the refuge Tournalin and then to the Nana (2770 m). From the hill before trail Descent 1 and 4 very funny and bucolic once again in pristine environment. Those who do not have enough can 'follow trail 1 to Col des Fontaines and then down to Valtournenche before recovering to Chamois cable car otherwise once you get to the stream already passed the first leg down to farm for a few meters then left yet on the private road until you cross the nr 5 on the right. Then return smoothly to the car along same route.
Highway exit Chatillon-St Vincent, followed Cervinia, arrived in Antey St Andre, turn right to La Magdeleine. Free underground parking in the square, to pay € 5 at the path for Chamois.
