Giro che collega il Lago di Caccamo (anche detto di Borgiano) al Lago di Fiastra passando per la formazione naturale detta 'Lame Rosse'. Il giro è una variante molto più lunga di questo giro:
Si parte da Caccamo sul Lago (quota 300 m) su asfalto passando per Castiglione e poi su strada bianca sino a raggiungere la sella di S.Maria Maddalena (1125 m) e si prosegue in salita sino alla cresta del Monte Fieni, dove si raggiunge il punto più alto del giro (1220 m) dopo una risalita totale di circa 13 km. Si inizia a scendere per carrareccia, st e forestale sino ad intercettare l'inizio del sentiero che porta alle Lame Rosse ed alla Grotta dei Frati (occhio a non sbagliare come abbiamo fatto noi). Questo sentiero st, tranne alcuni tratti, non presenta particolari difficoltà tecniche nella prima parte, solo che la pedalabilità è scarsa per i tratti ripidi in salita ed i tratti in parte esposti. Si arriva al bivio per le Lame Rosse e bisogna spingere per circa 150 m per raggiungerle, causa fondo incoerente e ripido. Le Lame Rosse sono un miracolo della natura assolutamente da visitare (vedere foto). Si ritorna in sella sul sentiero che procede in direzione del Lago di Fiastra, sentiero che presenta alcuni tratti tecnici divertenti e poi diventa molto scorrevole. Si arriva al belvedere sopra il Lago e poi su asfalto si raggiunge Fiegni, dove si può prendere acqua alla fonte e mangiare qlc al bar. Poi si procede in discesa sino a Collemese (q. 700 m) dove, poco prima, si imbocca la carrareccia che ci riporta alla sella di S.Maria Maddalena in poco meno di 5 km. A questo punto inizia la discesa, dapprima scorrevole e senza difficoltà tecniche ed alla fine molto sconnessa con ciottoli e lame di roccia (occhio alle gomme che sono taglienti purtroppo), si prosegue sino a raggiungere Pievefavera e, dopo poche centinaia di metri, ritornare al punto di partenza. Ride that connects Lake Caccamo (also called Borgiano) Lake Fiastra through the natural formation called 'Red Blades'. The ride is a variation on much longer than this tour:
It starts from Caccamo Lake (altitude 300 m) of asphalt through Castiglione and then on gravel road until you reach the saddle of Santa Maria Maddalena (1125 m) and continue uphill until the crest of Mount Hays, where it reaches the highest point of the tour (1220 m) after a total ascent of about 13 km. It starts to fall for carrareccia, st and forest up to intercept the beginning of the path that leads to the Red Blades and the Grotta dei Frati (be careful not to make mistakes like we did). This trail st, except for a few stretches, poses no particular technical difficulties in the first part, only that the pedalability is poor for the steep uphill sections and partly exposed. We arrive at the junction for the Red Blades and must push for about 150 m to reach them, because inconsistent and steep bottom. The Red Blades are a miracle of nature must visit (see photo). We go back in the saddle on the trail that goes in the direction of Lake Fiastra, the path that has some fun technical sections and then becomes very smooth. You get to the lookout over the lake and then on asphalt is reached Fiegni, where you can take water from the spring at the bar and eat sth. Then you descend until Collemese (q. 700 m) where, shortly before, take the track which brings us back to the saddle of St. Mary Magdalene in less than 5 km. At this point begins the descent, at first smooth and without any technical difficulties and at the end very bumpy gravel and rock blades (eye rubbers that are sharp, unfortunately), continue until you reach Pievefavera and, after a few hundred meters, return to starting point.
