Itinerario cicloalpinistico di notevole bellezza per gli ambienti incontaminati visitati.
Il punto di partenza è il piazzale antistante il caseificio all'ingresso del paese di Brusson. Si sale verso il municipio e tra le strade del borgo si va ad incrociare la strada ampia ed asfaltata che sale a La Croix ed Estoul procedendo fino ad incontrare sulla sx il parcheggio dal quale si prende la mulattiera che sale al Colle Palasina. Tale sentiero che in alcuni tratti si presenta faticosamente ciclabile sia per la pendenza che per il fondo accidentato ci porterà fino al rifugio ARP (Foto 2) a quota 2440, concedendoci la vista sulla catena del Monte Bianco e alcuni bellissimi scorci sulla sottostante Val d'Ayas. Dal rifugio seguendo le indicazioni per i laghi ci si ricollega per un sentiero ancora ciclabile alla strada che sale direttamente da valle. Tale strada termina in prossimità di una bella baita e da qui si sale su un sentiero non più ciclabile che ci conduce al primo dei laghi. Si costeggia la costa del lago e si giunge ad un bivio segnalato con i segni gialli su una roccia che, con duro lavoro di spinta parzialmente sui pedali e per un lungo tratto a piedi, ci porta fino al colle Palasina. Tale fatica è ripagata dalla spettacolare vista che si apre sull'imponente massiccio del Monte Rosa e verso sx dall'inconfondibile punta perfetta del Monte Cervino.
Si scende ora sulla traccia quasi invisibile di dx e un po' in sella ed un po' a piedi si raggiunge, in 400m di dislivello, il fondo della valle dal quale si diparte una scorrevole pista che passa l'alpe di Palù e ci regala ancora bellissimi scorci sul Rosa e sul Cervino. Giunti al paesino di Mascognaz(Foto 5) piccolo ed antico centro abitato posto a 1822 metri di quota che offre un panorama pressoché totale sulla valle superiore d'Ayas, poche baite ed antichi rascard, ora ristrutturati, vicoli strettissimi, una chiesetta ed un abbeveratoio, si fa scorta d'acqua e si scende attraverso la veicolare che porta sulla strada statale. Da qui il rientro avviene tra i boschi lungo il torrente Evançon fino a raggiungere il lago di Brusson e il punto di partenza.
Il giro va affrontato con un certo grado di preparazione in quanto le salite si rivelano pendenti e faticose e parte del primo tratto di discesa va effettuata “bici in spalla” ma ci regala un passaggio in un affascinante ambiente lacustre d'alta quota, posto in un contesto naturale di struggente bellezza e spettacolari vedute su due delle cime più belle delle nostre meravigliose montagne.

Route cicloalpinistico of remarkable beauty to the pristine environments visited.
The starting point is the square in front of the entrance to the dairy the country of Brusson. You go up to the town hall and the streets of the village you go to cross the wide road and asphalt up to La Croix and Estoul progressing until you see on the left the car park from where you take the trail that climbs the Col Palasina. Such a path that in some places it has struggled path for both the slope to the bottom terrain will bring us up to the refuge ARP (Photo 2) at an altitude of 2440, giving us a view of the Mont Blanc range and some beautiful views of the underlying Val d ' Ayas. From the hut, follow the signs for the lakes there is a link to a bike path again to the road that goes directly to the valley. This road ends at a beautiful lodge and from there you climb up a path no longer path that leads us to the first of the lakes. It runs along the coast of the lake and you will reach a junction with the yellow signs on a rock, with hard work pushing on the pedals and partly for a long distance walk, brings us up to the hill Palasina. This effort is rewarded with spectacular views that opens over the Monte Rosa massif and to the left with the famous peak of the Matterhorn perfect.
It now falls on the track almost invisible to the right and a bit 'in the saddle and some 'walk away, in 400m of altitude, the bottom of the valley from which branches off a sliding track that passes Alpe Palu and still gives us glimpses of the beautiful Rosa and the Matterhorn. On reaching the village of Mascognaz (Photo 5) small and ancient town place 1822 meters above sea level, offering a panorama of the valley near total upper Ayas, a few huts and ancient rascard, now restored, narrow alleys, a church and a trough , makes a supply of water and descend through the vehicular gate on the main road. From here the return takes place in the woods along the creek Evançon until you reach the lake Brusson and the starting point.
The tour must be met with a certain degree of preparation as the climb is strenuous and reveal pending and part of the first part of the descent should be carried out "bike on his shoulder," but it gives us a passage in a charming lakeside setting high-altitude place in a natural setting of haunting beauty and spectacular views of two of the most beautiful peaks of our beautiful mountains.
