Il Monte Patino è caratterizzato da due cime (1883 m. e 1887 m.), con la grande croce visibile da Norcia collocata su quella più bassa. Si trova alla periferia ovest del Sottogruppo Occidentale dei Monti Sibillini ed è un grande balcone sui piani di Norcia e sui monti aquilani, umbri e reatini. E' abbastanza agevole raggiungerlo con la lunga salita che inizia da Campi anche se i meno allenati potrebbero essere di altro avviso! La discesa, con delle brevi risalite, è di 11 km. quasi tutti in single-track e percorre la Costa Cognola e la Valle delle Grotte fino al delizioso borgo di Campi Vecchio. Un sentiero in piano riporta alla Madonna del Condotto ed alla strada proveniente da Campi con la quale si ritorna alla chiesa di S.Salvatore da dove inizia il giro.
