Trail Description

Route during the first part of the descent of the 118 requires nerves of steel and good control.
• Departure from the church of Santa Maria to the north and signs for the sanctuary and bell of the fallen
• At the first junction after the first bend to the right indication for the sanctuary of the fallen and dinosaur footprints
• Follow the paved road with street indication of the gunners and then a bend to the left take the dirt for dinosaur footprints
• First left fork for Albaredo and follow the dirt road until the next paved road
• A right of asphalt to its end where just before we see the signs for the trail 118
• My advice and follow the dirt road that branches off at the end of ' asphalt up to the summit Zugna where you can enjoy a wonderful view from the top
• Return to the first ruins we keep to the left and right of the path on the right track with numerous hairpins that brings us to the valley of the Adige and in short again the refuge Zugna Cones, located right at the beginning of the path 118
• We follow the path and after a short climb on foot we are shown his hand down, very technical with some exposed, its journey requires a good control and nerve
• When you arrive to the village of Matassone recommend a short visit to the fort Matassone place two minutes from the village with its trenches and soldiers of World War
• We follow the main road towards now north to the village of Albaredo, for those without a GPS at this point the descent of the provincial council to Rovereto, for those who can follow the trail a short climb and then on the many trails back to the starting point after switching from Bell Memorial of which recommend a short visit.
