Trail Description

A round trip that starts and ends in Piateda. From the SS38 you go down to the "Path Valtellina," and you come to a fork in the road begins to climb to Sazzo, with slopes never prohibitive, but with little room to breath. After reaching Arigna continue for the Dosso del Grillo, a picnic area in caravan. Here you can follow the directions for the route (steepest street) or follow the track and get to decauville in a more soft. The path halfway up the dirt road but is well-wrought, without a parapet but very wide and therefore not dangerous. It 'almost flat except for a rip around a hydroelectric reservoir. Two turns and you get to a panel where you leave the road down to take the carriage to Vedella. Here begins the most unusual and reminiscent of Tracciolino val Codera, with several galleries where it is good to have a flashlight. The tracks have been removed, so there are many dangers. Arriving at the dam Vedello you can continue 300 meters to get to the bridge over the brook, before turning back. The return path is the same as the first leg up to Arigna. Here we cross the country to get out and find an old trail is not marked but well wrought that takes us on the banks of the river Arigna: here begins a long and fun single-track everything that goes down in the woods with slight technical difficulties to the valley floor by reconnecting to the Path of Valtellina few km further east than at the beginning of the tour.
