Bel percorso, quasi tutto nel bosco, che taglia il fianco nord del Corno Grande (2912 m.), mantenendosi quasi costantemente ad una quota di circa 1100 metri. La salita da Isola del Gran Sasso, inizialmente su asfalto e poi su brecciata, è ripida ma scorrevole. Al termine della carrozzabile inizia il lungo sentiero nel bosco che segue per lunghi tratti le opere di captazione idrica dei numerosi fossi che scendono da questo versante del Gran Sasso. Solo verso la fine del sentiero appare la maestosa parete nord del Corno Grande che sarà severa compagna dell'ultimo tratto in discesa del giro.

Nice location, almost everything in the forest, that cuts the northern flank of the Big Horn (2912 m.) And remained almost constant at an altitude of about 1100 meters. The climb from Isola del Gran Sasso, originally on asphalt and then with gravel, is steep but smooth. At the end of the paved road begins the long forest trail that follows the works for long stretches of the water catchment of the many ditches that go down from this side of the Gran Sasso. Only towards the end of the trail is the impressive north face of Corno Grande severe companion that will last downhill section of the tour.
