Trail Description

TL between the Valley and the Valley of Blenio Levantine. The climb, if done the whole bike, is a blow to 1900 meters altitude in a bang, but if you make the rounds during a summer weekend, you can shorten it to 1200 meters altitude using the two chairlifts Nara (for timetables click here :)
It starts from Pollegio, near Blenio, and go along the path of the Val di Blenio, then up to Leontica and then on the way up to nara and up to the top station of the chairlift. From here you push / ride for 200 meters in altitude (30 minutes) to the Lower Nara. Fine climb.
The view of the efforts will pay off more or less large. The first part of the descent to Alpe Nara, it is not smooth, as it will pass in the middle of the pasture and there are many rocks on the trail.
But Alpe begin to enjoy. In fact, the Alphöli (shepherd / herdsman) is a young metalhead who comes up with the trials bike. He just told me to follow the path down to Aldescio, as it is what he does. Under the hut is hard to find the trail, since it is a pratone, but if you have the gps will not miss. Get off the lawn simply by following the trail. In the woods instead starts a path that seems to have been traced to the bike, since he goes there in motion. A pleasure (see photo).
At the bucolic Aldescio you take another path towards Sorsello. Less fluid, but rather simple. From just before Sorsello another path (not reported) for Tengia. From here a short break with a road that leads you to Rossura. From here a trail that at the Alpe di Caslascio turns into more technical path of the tour, however, entirely feasible in the saddle with a decent tennica.
Arrive so, finally, in the valley of the Levantine. From here follow the signs of the bike route 3 going on old bridges and old villages that one of the Gotthard highway (which passes nearby) not known. Considering that it is always slightly downhill, a nice finish cycling.
Once in Pollegio, if you still have them, I suggest you go to visit the new St. Gotthard tunnel, the longest in the world, before that it is ready in 2016, since which comes out there. Inform yourself, it's worth it: Austrada Gotthard, exit Biasca. Continue on cantonal Airolo, after about 1 km on the right there is ample free parking.
