Questo percorso prende parte della traccia del "Giro dei 3 Boschi", che ho postato in precedenza sempre su MTB-Forum. E' un percorso suscettibile di molte interpretazioni e varianti: questa e quella che preferisco io e che vi propongo! Vi faccio una premessa: sembra un giro semplice da fare, ma è il classico percorso in cui sembra di non arrivare mai a destinazione, tanto è lungo e variegato.
Prima di rivedere il punto di partenza, sotto le ruote grasse della vostra MTB, dovranno passare non meno di 70 tortuosi chilometri.
Se avete un buon allenamento sul fondo, in questo giro, potrete riprendervi delle belle rivincite sui compagni di uscita che vi hanno da sempre pestato nei percorsi XC.
Praticamente quando tornerete a casa e vi chiederanno dove siete stati oggi in bici, potrete rispondere: "Un pò ovunque"!!!
Il giro parte da Largo Margherita a Trepuzzi, dove troverete anche un ampio parcheggio per le auto e diversi BAR , oltre ad una fontana e dei bagni pubblici.
Durante il tragitto passerete: dal centro storico di Lecce, in cui potrete ammirare la bellezza delle sue chiese e del suo Duomo; dai tratturi di campagna del Nord-Salento, affiancati da alberi di ulivo secolari; attraverserete masserie abbandonate (anche dall'interno); boschi rigogliosi (ben 4); cave di "Carparo" e una infinità di single track. L'unico centro abitato che incontrerete lungo il tragitto sarà Borgo Piave, una minuscola frazione di Frigole e primo luogo utile in cui potrete riempire le borracce, dopo aver lasciato Lecce.
Se siete degli amanti della Eno-Gastronomia locale, il percorso tocca anche la "Masseria Melcarne" e la "Masseria Monacelli", due rinomate e caratteristiche strutture ricettive.
Ottima alternativa al giro in BDC, se volete fare fondo, ma le strade asfaltate sono molto bagnate o c'è troppo vento.
Vi consiglio di integrare per bene durante il giro, o rischierete di avere delle crisi di fame, proprio sul più bello!!!

This route takes the track of the "Tour of 3 Woods," which I posted earlier about always MTB-Forum. It 'a path open to many interpretations and variations: this is what I prefer and what I propose! Practically when return home and ask you where you've been today by bike, you can answer: "A little bit everywhere" !!!
The tour departs from Largo to Trepuzzi Margherita, where there is also ample parking for several cars and BAR, as well a fountain and public toilets.
On the way you will pass: the historical center of Lecce, where you can admire the beauty of its churches and its cathedral; by pleasant countryside of the North-Salento, flanked by ancient olive trees; cross abandoned farms (even inside); lush forests (less than 4); quarries "Carparo" and a multitude of single track. The only town that you will encounter along the way will Borgo Piave, a tiny fraction of Frigole and primarily useful when you can fill your water bottles, after leaving Lecce.
If you love the Eno-Gastronomy local path also touches on the "Masseria Melcarne" and the "Masseria Monacelli," two well-known features and accommodations.
Great alternative to lap in BDC, if you want to fund, but the roads are very wet or too windy.
I advise you to integrate well during the ride, or you risk having the hunger crisis, just the most beautiful !!!
