p.Gr - Probike a Massa Marittima

Distanza 39.7 Km
Tempo 05.22 h
Dislivello in salita 1425 mt

Day Weekend organized by ProBike.
After "massacred" Piero on the beauty of the paths of Massa Marittima, here we are, one small and heterogeneous group of biker Florentine park their vehicles in Garland. Piero, generous master of technique, two spouses fantastic, cyclists in the soul, a competitive athlete who has preferred to keep warm in low bike Punta Ala and finished with an average record time and ... I, in spite of themselves, to guide a day.
I thought Garland because this small cluster of houses is well suited as a starting point, a huge park (former railway station), a source of water to fill up the backpacks and even the ability to stop and eat at the back . After downloading the bike ... all aboard ... the direction of Mount Arsenti. A wide gravel road uphill, a bit 'boring but that will take us to the beginning of the "Buzzer free ride." A beautiful route proceeds on the hill in front of Massa Marittima. About 2 kilometers of pure fun downhill. One point for me is still difficult with a drop of two meters a bit 'too steep ... but we're working on, for the rest ... only downhill ... to be interpreted as one likes better ... even some small jump !!!
Back on flat, a bit 'of asphalt with which we have passed Massa Marittima and we headed uphill towards Poggio Salcerini. These hills are an infinite number of paths incredible. Not simple but not too technical ... pure entertainment for all types of bikers. Three really fun descents, the passage through the dunes - Arizona (thanks again Gaddo for the indication) and a steep climb and technique ... under the blazing sun ... are the points that remain etched, not to mention the last pearl the day: the Canyon of Massa.
noteworthy water in Garland and Phoenix (which is half a turn), it is perfectly suited backpack water if it is hot.
If you try it let me know your impressions, if you have some improvements ... post them.
