Bike raiding l’Appia Antica
Mettere le ruote della bicicletta nei solchi del carro di Nerone. E’ una esperienza che si può fare solo sull’Appia Antica. Anche se Nerone non c’è passato mai, e magari invece erano solo carri che portavano grano o legno quelli che passavano sull’Appia Antica.
Non c’è una strada più ricca: di natura, di storia, di cultura. La vedrete riaffiorare da sotto l’erba e la terra che l’hanno nascosta e in parte preservata dalle predazioni che hanno interessato i monumenti che la circondano.
Ma anche se il divertimento è il puro e semplice pedalare, l’Appia Antica non ci farà mancare nulla: tratti facili e difficili, pianure e strappi improvvisi, dossi, drop, single tracks. E poi pedalare sull’erba.
Ma non in un posto qualsiasi: nella regina delle strade. E la regina è una sola.
Il percorso ci porterà dal comune di Marino lungo tutto il tratto, quello che ne rimane, della via Appia, attraverseremo una serie di manufatti antichi e antiche tombe di diverse epoche, fino ad arrivare nel cuore storico della città di Roma, partendo dalla porta di San Sebastiano alle terme di Caracalla, foro Romano, Colosseo e via via tutto il centro di Roma.

Bike raiding the Appia Antica

But not just anywhere: the queen of the streets. And the queen is one.
The route will take us from the town of Marino along the entire stretch, what remains of the Appian Way, will cross a number of ancient artifacts and ancient tombs from different periods, up to the heart the historic city of Rome, starting from the port of San Sebastian to the Baths of Caracalla, the Roman Forum, Colosseum, and gradually the whole center of Rome.
