Giro andata/ritorno da Frontignano al Sasso di Palazzo Borghese, rupe rocciosa a picco sul sottostante Pian delle Cavalle, dove è presente fino a tarda primavera un laghetto alimentato dalle nevi invernali, dimora del Chirocefalo Sibillae, parente “minore” del più famoso Chirocefalo Marchesoni del Lago di Pilato. Il percorso si snoda, sempre intorno a quota 2000, lungo il panoramico sentiero che inizia da Passo Cattivo. Da Palazzo Borghese siamo scesi per circa 250 metri di dislivello verso Pian delle Cavalle alla scoperta del laghetto, ma essendo già asciutto siamo ritornati indietro, ugualmente appagati da questo bel percorso.

Giro outward / return to Frontignano the Sasso di Palazzo Borghese, rocky cliff overlooking the underlying Pian delle Mares, where it is present until late spring a small lake fed by the winter snows, home of Chirocefalo Sibillae, a relative "minor" the most famous Chirocefalo Marchesonii Lake Pilate. The path winds, always at an altitude of around 2000 along the scenic trail that starts from Step Ugly. From Palazzo Borghese went down to about 250 meters in altitude towards Pian delle Mares to the discovery of the pond, but it is already dry we are back, equally gratified by this beautiful path.
