Provenendo da Teramo in direzione Macchia da Sole, si lascia l’auto in prossimità del bivio per Macchia da Borea. L’anello inizia scendendo a sx verso il fiume Salinelllo e si sale a Macchia da Sole su bitume. In uscita dal paese è possibile rifornirsi d’acqua presso un’antica fonte. Continuo a pedalare in salita transitando al cospetto del Monte Tignoso dal quale , molti anni or sono, si distaccò un gigantesco masso che rotolò per l’intera Valle Cupa. Gli abitanti della zona raccontano che ebbero la percezione di un sisma in atto mentre quell’enorme roccia veniva giù dalla montagna ma fortunatamente il masso non fece vittime e oggi giace quieto a bordo strada. Raggiunto il bivio per Piano Maggiore svolto a sx e percorro un breve tratto in discesa per poi riprendere in salita costante. Pedalo comodamente sul Fosso Sagannata e sul Fosso Natale lasciandomi alle spalle la Montagna dei Fiori e godendomi a sx la vista sulla Montagna di Campli. Agevolmente salgo al valico di Pietra Stretta ed in corrispondenza del punto più alto, abbandono la carrareccia per la traccia dx che sale ripida alla vetta del Monte della Farina. Alternando tratti pedalabili a camminate bici in spalla, in poco tempo sono in cima. Affacciarsi su Valle Piola dalla vetta del Farina fa sempre un certo effetto, evito di sporgermi sul baratro e riprendo il cammino intercettando una traccia sottostante che dapprima volge a destra e poi scivola decisa ne bosco. Il traccia si presenta veloce e curvilineo con divertenti tonanti e con possibilità di effettuare tagli liberi tra la boscaglia. Dopo esser sceso per più di duecento metri di dslv incrocio la sterrata per Acquaratola, mi rifornisco alla fonte pastorale e prendo a dx. Mi trovo sul fianco del Ciufolone, la strada è velocemente percorribile e regala gradevoli panorami. Durante il tragitto si incrociano diversi sentieri che scendono sulla sx ma consiglio vivamente di non avventurarsi per evitare di complicarsi la vita nel Fosso Pidocchiara. Giunto ai Piani la discesa si accentua e diventa più veloce tra prati e sassi smossi. Incrociata di nuovo la s.p. svolto a dx e in poco tempo arrivo a Piano Maggiore, aggiro la chiesetta e prendo un vecchissimo sentiero appena visibile. E’ il 16c C.A.I. che un tempo collegava Piano Maggiore a Macchia da Borea. Oggi si presenta sporco e di conseguenza abbastanza difficoltoso da percorrere. Il sentiero esce a Macchia da Borea, la attraversa e continua scendere fino ad un cimitero. Ripreso il bitume, giro a dx e chiudo l’anello.

Coming from Teramo in Macchia direction from Sun, you leave the car near the junction to Macchia from Borea. The ring starts going down to the left towards the river and climb to Salinelllo Macchia from Sun on bitumen. On leaving the village you can get water from an ancient source. I keep pedaling uphill passing in front of Mont Tignoso from which, many years ago, broke off a giant boulder that rolled through the entire Valle Cupa. Local residents say that they had the perception of an earthquake in progress while the huge rock came down from the mountain but fortunately the boulder did victims and now lies quietly on the roadside. At the crossroads Major for Piano played left and I walk a short downhill section and then return to steady climb. I pedal comfortably on the Fosso Sagannata and Fosso Christmas leaving behind the Mountain of Flowers and enjoying the view on the left of Mountain Campli. Easily climb to the pass of Stone Close and at the highest point, abandoning the cart to the right track that climbs steeply to the summit of Monte della Farina. The track looks fast and fun with curvilinear thundering and with possibility to cut free of the bushland. After being down for more than two hundred yards DSLV crossing the dirt road for Acquaratola, I purchase the source pastoral and take a right. I am on the side of Ciufolone, the road is passable quickly and offers nice views. Enroute cross several trails that descend on the left but I highly recommend not to venture to avoid complicating his life in Fosso Pidocchiara. Joint Plans descent is accentuated and becomes faster through meadows and rocks shaken. Cross again S.p.A. done right and in a short time arrival in Piano Major, wander the church and take a very old trail barely visible. And 'the 16c C.A.I. which leads from Major Plan to Smear from Borea. Today it is dirty and therefore quite difficult to follow. The trail comes out at Macchia from Boreas, the crosses and continues down to a cemetery. Taken the bitumen, turn right and close the ring.
