I boschi della Valle di Ussita non finiscono mai di regalare vecchi sentieri a chi come noi ha la volontà e la tenacia di ritrovarli. Anticamente utilizzati per condurre gli armenti sugli alti pascoli, poi quasi del tutto abbandonati per la costruzione delle più comode strade carrozzabili, sono in più punti ricoperti da vegetazione o franati; di tanto in tanto riemergono segni del loro antico utilizzo come muretti a secco e fontanili in pietra e tutto ciò non fa che aumentarne il fascino ed il senso di avventura che prende chi li percorre. Questo sentiero inizia al rifugio dei pastori a Pian di Pao e scende all'inizio parallelo alla strada del Fargno e poi ne taglia decisamente i tornanti, restando sempre dentro alla pineta. Nel bosco di Carpegna la traccia di sentiero diventa una sconnessa mulattiera che scende ripida fino a terminare a ridosso dell'abitato di Tempori.

The forests of the Valley of Ussita never cease to give the old paths to those of us who have the will and tenacity to find them. Formerly used to conduct the herds on the high pastures, then almost completely abandoned for the construction of the most comfortable carriage roads, are in many places covered with vegetation or collapsed; occasionally emerge signs of their former use as dry-stone walls and stone fountains and all this does is increase the charm and sense of adventure that takes them who runs. This trail begins at the sanctuary of the shepherds in Pian di Pao and down parallel to the road at the beginning of the Fargno and then it definitely cuts the curves, always staying within the pine forest. In the woods of Carpegna the path trail becomes a bumpy trail that descends steeply to finish near the town of Tempori.
