Dal parcheggio di Via Ferrero ci si dirige in direzione di Alba. Si prende a dx una stradina sterrata che scende a ricongiungersi alla strada provinciale. Di qui si prende a sx la strada comunale che scende a valle.. La visuale spazia su un orizzonte spettacolare: a sx le colline del Roero, al centro il paese di Roddi dominato dal castello, a dx il ventaglio dei vigneti del Barolo. Si prosegue scendendo, nei pressi di un cascinale, su capezzagna; ci si immette poi sulla strada asfaltata fino alla frazione di Santa Maria, dominata dalla chiesa arroccata sul punto più alto della collina. Si prosegue fra i vigneti dai nomi famosi fino all’Annunziata con a sx, in alto, svettante su una collina perfetta, il cedro del Libano, piantato dai Falletti nel 1875, uno dei luoghi più fotografati per la bellezza paesaggistica dell’insieme. Nella frazione si trova la chiesa della SS. Annunziata, con campanile romanico, interno settecentesco affrescato, una lapide romana murata nel pavimento: apparteneva all’antico convento benedettino di Marcenasco, di cui si conserva il corpo centrale, ora sede del Museo Ratti dei vini di Alba. Si prosegue immersi fra ordinati filari verso la borgata Fontanazza, ove è la “cappella del Barolo”: la facciata guarda il cru delle Brunate. Si raggiunge la borgata Cerequio, che conserva una lapide a memoria dei partigiani fucilati durante il secondo conflitto mondiale. Un breve tratto (molto) ripido permette di arrivare alla strada bianca che costeggia i vigneti più blasonati fino al paese di La Morra

From the car park Via Ferrero heading in the direction of Alba. Takes on the right a dirt road that descends to rejoin the road. Of here take to the left the road that descends to the valley. The view extends to the horizon spectacular: to the left the hills of the Roero, in the centre of the village of Roddi dominated by the castle, to the right, the range of the vineyards of Barolo. You continue to descend, in the vicinity of a farmhouse, on the path; you have to enter then on the paved road until the village of Santa Maria, dominated by the church perched on the highest point of the hill. It continues among the vineyards with famous names up to the Annunziata, left, high, towering on a hill perfect, the cedar of Lebanon, planted by the Falletti in 1875, one of the most photographed places for the scenic beauty of the whole. In the village is the church of SS. Annunziata, with a romanesque bell-tower, within the eighteenth-century frescoes, a roman memorial tablet walled in the floor: it belonged to the ancient benedictine convent of Marcenasco, which preserves the central body, now seat of the Museo Ratti dei vini di Alba. Continue immersed in orderly rows towards the village Fontanazza, where is the “cappella del Barolo”: the facade facing the cru of Brunate. You can reach the borgata Cerequio, which still has a plaque in memory of the partisans shot during the second world war. A short (very) steep allows you to get to the dirt road that runs alongside the most prestigious vineyards, to the village of La Morra
