Giro di media lunghezza, da fare anche in inverno, la salita è tutta su alsfalto, la discesa è molto facile, si può scendere dalla mulattiera oppure dalla strada asfaltata dei monti di Trezzone.
La salita può essere fatta come la traccia, passando da Trezzone, quindi si sale da Gera Lario seguendo le indicazione per Trezzone, oppure partendo da Domaso, seguendo le indicazioni per Vercana.
Se si passa da Trezzone, una volta arrivati alla piazzetta si deve entrare nel paese, molto divertente visto che la strada è molto stretta in mezzo alle case. superato questo ci si ritrova su un sentiero che scende un poco, per poi risalire in mezzo alle vigne. si attraversa una valletta e si continua all'interno del bosco, per poi arrivare sopra l'abitato di Vercana. Raggiunta la strada asfaltata, proseguire seguendo le indicazioni per i Monti di Vercana. Si sale per una decina di tornanti, tralasciando le indicazioni che si trovano salendo e restando sulla strada principale, si arriva a scollinare con un ottima vista sul Lago di Como e la bassa Valtellina. Si prosegue su una ripida cementata, fino ad incontrare una fontana e l'indicazione ALTA VIA DEI MONTI LARIANI. Qui finisce la salita e si segue il sentiero sulla destra,che parte pianeggiante per poi inoltrarsi nel bosco. Raggiunto un bivio si segue il cartello "DIVIETO DI DISCESA PER LE MTB" e svoltando a destra, inizia la discesa vera e propria. Il sentiero scende per un prato e si raggiungono le case dei Monti di Trezzone. Da qui si può scendere o per la strada asfaltata oppure per la mulattiera che inizia attraversando la strada asfaltata. Entrambe portano a Trezzone. Da Trezzone si scende per la strada della salita, per chi è salita da Gera, o si scende a Gera per poi proseguire verso Domaso, per chi è salito da la.
