Partenza e arrivo alla banca CRL di Guamo.
Si prende la via per Lucca e presto si devia verso Vicopelago dove accanto alla chiesa possiamo riempire le borracce, si prosegue su asfalto passando da Gattaiola e si sale fino alla Polla del Bongi (ormai non c'e' piu' la fonte). Da li' si imbocca il sentiero 44, un ST molto carino e a tratti impegnativo specialmente con terreno viscido. Terminato il ST andiamo avanti fino ad incontrare l'asfalto, fatte poche centinaia di metri ci ributtiamo in discesa sterrata, prendiamo fiato perche' ci aspettano un paio di pettate interessanti. Giunti di nuovo sulla sommita' del monte si ridiscende rapidamente sul versante affacciato sul pisano fino ad una radura dove a dx scenderemmo verso S.Giuliano ma scegliamo il lato lucchese sulla sx. Un breve ST parecchio mosso (qualche tratto a piedi) ci porta a S.Maria del Giudice. Attraversiamo la statale e puntiamo verso i monti di fronte per via S.Pantaleone dove una lunga serie di tornanti sterrati ma non ripidi finiscono in un ST nel bosco. Tornati ai nostri 450 m di altezza chiudiamo la passeggiata con una veloce discesa fino a Coselli, nei pressi del nostro punto di partenza.

Take the road to Lucca and soon you turn towards Vicopelago next to the church where we can fill the canteens, continue on asphalt going from Gattaiola and climb up to the Polla Bongi (now there 'more' on the source). From them 'take the path 44, a very nice ST and sometimes challenging especially with slippery ground. After the ST go forward until you reach the asphalt, made a few hundred meters we are thrown back down in the dirt, we take breath 'cause we expect a couple of interesting pettate. Arrived back on top 'of the mountain descends rapidly on the slope overlooking the Pisan up to a clearing where this would go right to S.Giuliano but we choose the Lucchese on the left side. A short ST moved a lot (some distance on foot) leads us to Santa Maria del Giudice. We cross the road and aim towards the mountains in front by S.Pantaleone where a long series of switchbacks steep dirt road but not end up in a ST in the woods. Returning to our 450 m high close walk with a fast descent to Coselli, near our starting point.
