E' un itinerario tipicamente invernale, visto che è tutto al sole, sia la salita che la discesa. Anche perchè d'estate, vista l'esposizione, è un posto troppo caldo, in più ci sono tanti escursionisti sui sentieri. In più è divertente anche con la neve, l'unico problema può sorgere se la neve è troppa dal maso Oberplatzer alla Leiteralm, sarebbe infatti molto difficile pedalare, se la neve invece è vecchia o ghiacciata si riesce a salire bene. Eventualmente fermarsi al maso Oberplatzer. I sentieri per la discesa sono uno più divertente dell'altro, anche se ci vuole un pò di esperienza in alcune parti tecniche. Il panorama dall'alto è bellissimo
