Itinerario molto impegnativo, sia per la lunga salita fino al Cornetto di confine, sia per il continuo su e giù lungo l'Alta via. In compenso il panorama è stupefacente, con viste a 360° verso le Dolomiti e le alpi austriache. Si sale prima lungo la valle S. Silvestro fino lla malga e poi fino al cornetto di Confine con splendido panorama. Poi si segue a sx l'Alta via di Dobbiaco, un bellissimo sentiero in saliscendi con deviazione fino alla cima del Corno di Fana per ammirare lo splendido panorama. Poi si prosegue fino al Corno Alto e dopo il monte calvo si comincia a scendere su divertente sentiero verso Franadega e poi su strada e forestale fino a Valle S. Silvestro e Dobbiaco.
