Da Sesto si sale su asfalto passando dalla chiesa verso l'hotel Panorama e poi su sterrato fino al rist. Monte Elmo. Qui si prosegue sul 4 in bell'ambiente alpino fino alla cima del monte Elmo, con strepitosa vista a 360° sulla Pusteria e le Dolomiti. Scendiamo poi sul 20, con tratti tecnici, seguendo sempre la traccia diritta verso gli impianti (non seguire il sentiero quando devia a dx) e arriviamo ancora alla stazione a monte della funivia. Da qui scendiamo sulla forestale 4 tagliando spesso su sentieri. Circa a quota 1400, deviamo a sx sul 5 e torniamo a Sesto Statale della Val Pusteria, a S. Candido si devia per Sesto, parcheggi in centro o alla funivia
